It's official: the man has no shame!

I just confirmed with Judge Gillette's office that Bill Smith, after assessing what a fine job he has done so far, slithered on into the judge's office earlier today and "qualified" to attempt to inflict himself upon the decent citizens of Camden County for yet another run-amok term as sheriff. If you have not heard Big Thug Willie's no-class campaign song yet, just scroll down 4 posts to "Odious ode to Willie Joe, Version 2.0". Click on the link.

While on mine patrol, SS Willie crew saves sea turtle.

(Click on post title for link to heroic story in GTU). I wonder when and where the heroicised, Simper Fido version of this heroic rescue will turn up? Watch for it.

St. Marys City Council overrides mayor's airport veto.

(Click on orange post title - above - to link to GTU story). I would call your attention to the poll on this blog (to your right) on selling the airport. (Note: 12:34 P.M. That poll is now closed. Note that only 35% percent of respondents favored keeping the airport as is; 65 % favored selling it, one way or another.) I'm in favor of selling it and developing the nearly 300 acres to their highest and best use. If we can have our cake and eat it too (close it, keep it, then sell it and keep the proceeds), so much the better. But, let's face it, selling it, giving the money to the FAA, and then letting the new owners develop it would also be a vas timprovement over the status quo.

What idiots, these Thuggies.

Kingsland, GA Tommy, what is your position on concealed carry? Posted in the Kingsland Forum by a flagrant Thuggie who calls himself PACO. Well, Paco Waco, I'm guessing that it will be remarkably like the overriding state law governing concealed carry, the salient points of which are actually printed right on the back of your concealed weapons permit, dumbass!

Odious ode to Willie Joe, Version 2.0

Maybe this will work.

Well I'll just be damned, it does work. Not bad for an old technosaur! Just turn on your speakers, then click on the audio link above. WARNING: If you have a weak stomach or a quick temper, you might want to back up far enough that you will not puke into your keyboard or put your fist through your monitor.

Odious ode to Willie Joe

I have the song in praise of BTW. In spite of my best efforts, I just can't figure out yet how to get the damned thing to play on this blog. Rick now has it. I'm betting he can get it on his blog in short order when he gets off today. Keep checking for it. I would keep on wrestling with it, but I've got one last bit of school work to knock out today.

Berzerk Big Thug Willie deliberately pisses away ENTIRE BALANCE of drug fund to spite county commission and tens of thousands of non-Thuggie citizens!

Camden Commentary coming right along.

The very first post to this blog occurred on February 27th, 2008. Tomorrow, April 29th, the hit counter will roll over 10,000. Over 10,000 hits (views) in like two months and two days. Thank you all. Now, let's see if y'all can recruit some new viewers so we can hit 20,000 in 3 months!

Black 'Copter down.

Camden Commentary hits for last 7 days. Scurrilous "Black 'Copter" hits for last seven days.
Obviously, Camden's appetite for vile, Thuggie filth is
rather considerably less than the gutless, annonymous
degenerate who authors the blog thought.

Thanks Rose. Naturally, I, El Jaybo, also know the answer. You call the PSA Recreation Center the day before (no sooner - except Friday for Monday rides) you need to be somewhere (Monday thru Friday.) The earliest they can pick you up, anywhere in the county, is determined by how long the drive is between your place and the Rec Center. Their first run starts at 8:00 AM. They will not only take you to your destination - anywhere in Camden from anywhere in Camden - but come back at your designated time, pick you up and take you home. When I had to use the service a year or so ago, the fee for the round trip was just $6.00, cash or check, collected by driver.. Anyone in Camden may use the service. You do not have to be elderly or disabled ( although they do have a couple of buses with hydraulic wheelchair lifts, if needed). They will take you anywhere inside of Camden County, for any purpose. If memory serves me, their latest pick up time - for return trips - is around 3:00 PM because of commitments to haul kids from schools to the Rec Center. The lady who runs it is "Shoney" (sp?). Very friendly and accommodating. They were always on time for me, coming and going. Call 729-5600.

Sunday Funnies, Volume 9.

Another one from Uncle Harry in Australia: Things Got Ya Down? Well Then, Consider These . . . .............................. In a hospital's Intensive Care Unit, patients always died in the same bed, on Sunday morning, at about 11:00 a.m., regardless of their medical condition. This puzzled the doctors and some even thought it had something to do with the supernatural. No one could solve the mystery as to why the deaths occurred around 11:00 a.m. Sunday, so a worldwide team of experts was assembled to investigate the cause of the incidents. The next Sunday morning, a few minutes before 11:00 am ., all of the doctors and nurses nervously waited outside the ward to see for themselves what the terrible phenomenon was all about. Some were holding wooden crosses, prayer books, and other holy objects to ward off the evil spirits. Just when the clock struck 11:00, Willie Johnson, the part-time Sunday sweeper, entered the ward and unplugged the life support system so he could use the vacuum cleaner. Still Having a Bad Day???? The average cost of rehabilitating a sea otter after theExxon Valdez Oil spill in Alaska was $80,00000. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both. Still think you are having a Bad Day???? A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listeningto his Walkman. Are Ya OK Now? - No? Two animal rights defenders were protesting the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn , Germany . Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a broken fence, stampeding madly. The two helpless protesters were trampled to death. What?!? STILL having a Bad Day???? Iraqi terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with 'Return to Sender' stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb, he opened it and was blown to bits. Smith not only shows up, but shows his no-class ass at Crawfish Festival!

This just in from an eye-witness. Smith was in the festival parade, riding in the back of that Gawd-awful, trashy looking, hand-painted green on white pick-up truck they leave parked all over the county. Riding in the back with Big Thug Willie were none other than Brian "Livid Lemur" Fewox and Camden Landlord of the Year, Officer L.J. Williams! I guess Walker was busy. But get this. Mark Woods will love this. No Class Willie was handing out CD's of a song cut by a local, self-styled musician - and brother-in-law of ol' eat-up-with-the-love-of-Jesus Mary Ann Semans - by the name of Leon Thrift. Seems the song praises Big Thug Willie, trashes all who oppose the lying, cheating scum, and specifically trashes Commissioner Steve Berry by name. But then, what kind of campaign can you expect from trash? Will somebody please get a copy of that to Rick Rogers so he can put it on his blog (I don't have a clue how to). Then get a copy to Gordon Jackson and Jill Helton. Oh, what the hell, get a copy to the News Walrus - not that he would play it. P.S., No Class Willie was heard hollering out to puppet pal David Rainer telling him that he was saving one of the Cd's especially for him.

But who will rid us of Rainer?

Here is a link to the county district map. http://www.co.camden.ga.us/DocumentView.asp?DID=254 Rainer nominally represents the citizens of District 5 (darker green). He, in fact, exclusively represents the financial interests of native good ol' boys all over the county - including our corrupt, hereditary sheriff. Is there not one serious, qualified candidate in District 5 up to the challenge? Suggestions?

Craig Brack vs. Chairman Preston Rhodes?

Anonymous said... Former JDA man Craig Brack has signed on to run against Preston Rhodes for the District 1 commissioners seat. Your thoughts? April 25, 2008 2:12 PM Well, when that comment came in on the last post, I was fairly certain that I remembered who Craig Brack was, but just to be sure, I searched his name on the T&G site. I was right. http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2006/02/17/news/top_stories/1topstory2.17.txt My recollection is that he was put into a rather impossible position when the Terrible Troika -one of whom was Rhodes himself - tasked the JDA with putting in a massive, multi-million dollar water and sewer system for developers in the North End. I seem to remember that Brack eventually resigned in disgust over the whole affair, but I could be wrong. Anyone? Seems I remember reading that Mr. Brack is a highly experienced, practising civil engineer. Given that the first non-felonious high school grad in the phone book should be able to defeat Mr. Rhodes, Mr. Brack, at first blush, seems like a good candidate. Caveat: That is, assuming that he is not a BTW plant, an inveterate good ol' boy, or a Trojan horse from the developers. Anyone? 4/26 @ 1730 HRS: Googling Brack: This from the minutes of the Glynn County BOC meeting of September 6th, 1990. "Requested Traffic Improvements at Highway 341/Fourth Street Intersection. Chairman McVeigh announced that Department of Transportation District Attorney Craig Brack had written the Commission a letter indicating that the DOT would participate in the cost of improving the intersection of Highway 17 and Fourth Street. He made a motion, which was seconded by Commissioner Highsmith, authorizing the Chairman to forward a letter to Mr. Brack asking Mr. Brack to participate in upgrading the Highway 341/Fourth Street Intersection in front of Selden Park." Is this the same Craig Brack? Is he an attorney AND a civil engineer? Mr. Brack, if you would like to e-mail me an opening campaign statement (jaymor@tds.net), I'll be happy to post it unedited and verbatim here for you. That offer is good for all declared candidates, by the way. Mr. brack is a member of the $500 per family/per year Hickory Bluff Marina in north Camden County. The members and Officers of Hickory Bluff Marina OFFICERS President: Tilly Williams Vice President: Ed Herrington Secretary: Kaye Williams Treasurer: Vicky Raleigh MEMBERS: Larry Adams, Scott Adcock, Tony Aliotta, Tullis Allen, AMC Marine, Skip Anderson, Ken Arnett Jr, Michael Bartchlett, Wally Bell, Randy Bellflower, Henry Berry III, Richard Blythe, Sr, David Boczar, James F Bolden, Craig Brack, et al http://www.hickorybluffmarina.com/members.html In 2007, Brack was on the Board of Directors of the Camden Partnership, Inc. May still be. Anyone? http://www.thecamdenpartnership.org/Newsletters/current_newsletter.pdf Member, along with Bob Noble, of "ADAG." http://adagonline.org/work_groups.html This from a 1990 GLynnn County BOC meeting's minutes: "Department of Transportation Report on Local Road Projects. Department of Transportation District Engineer Craig Brack, assisted by Gene Vincent and Ricky McCoy, reported on various traffic improvements in Glynn County. Mr. Brack complemented Glynn County Administrative and Public Works Staff for working with the DOT better than any other County in the District. He presented a drawing of improvements planned for the US 17/Fourth Street Intersection Improvements." Okay, so was the Craig Brack running against Preston Rhodes an engineer or an attorney or both for the Georgai DOT? Are we perhaps looking at a father/son team here, or what? Who knows for sure?

Is Big Thug Willie about to roll over??

And now, from a mole so deep he sometimes skin dives in the Floridan aquifer, comes this startling rumor. There is now talk going around the the courthouse square that the seldom seen of late BTW may have been in negotiations with the feds in search of a deal like Walker got. Time will tell. Don't you know there is some serious puckering going on within the upper echelons of the CCSO and who knows where else? Another reliable source informs me that when approached about appearing in the Crawfish parade, BTW not only declined to appear, but said, and I quote, "Don't put my name on a damn thing in the parade!"

"Camden could be a Hiassen book unto its self." (Mark Woods)

http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/042508/woo_271904548.shtml Can you imagine the piece Woods will write if the people of Camden fail to oust Big Thug Willie in the July primary?

Jackson and Pinkham win press awards.

A reliable source tells me that Gordon Jackson and Paul Pinkham, Georgia Times Union reporters, have recently won press awards for their teamwork in covering the saga of Big Thug Willie's mis-and malfeasance in office. My source is not sure exactly certain what the categories were, but they won 2nd place from the Georgia Press Association and 1st place from the Florida Press Club. Does anyone know the categories? Perhaps I'll have time to research it when this bloody semester is finally over next week. (Three weekly round trips to Brunswick are eating me alive on gas!) At any rate, congratulations to both gentlement on well deserved wins. The decent people of Camden County are indebted to you both.

Rats donning life jackets?

This just in from a reliable, deep, deep mole. About a month ago, CCSO Detective Dale Bundy began to tell anyone who would listen that Sheriff Bill Smith is sorry, crooked, stupid, etc. He apparently wants it known that he was in no way previously aware of or in any way involved in any of the wrong doing which may come out as a result of the federal grand jury investigation. Right. Good luck with that.

Your quiche or your life?

Folks, what are we to make of this story? http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/042408/geo_271458525.shtml The ink on the hip-pocket, not-so-grand jury's propaganda piece on jail operations is hardly dry when this comes out. What do y'all make of the timing? Is it possible that heretofore, this gang of seven thugs was useful to the jailers in maintaining order and selective intimidation, but now, with July fast approaching, BTW found the seven more useful as sacrifices to his propaganda machine? Anyone have any inside poop on this?

Should Bird's wings be clipped vis-a-vis airport?

Here are links to the letters on the subject in today's T&G. You may also wish to vote in the three polls on the subject which I've created today. http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/04/23/opinion/letters/3letter4.23.txt (Curiously, the author of this first letter owns and operates the "Base Operator" concession at the airport, right across from Bird's hangar concession. Que-the-hell-pasa here?) http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/04/23/opinion/letters/1letter4.23.txt http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/04/23/opinion/letters/6letter4.23.txt http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/04/23/opinion/letters/7letter4.23.txt "Mike McKinnon: You have true friends in St. Marys, Mike, and this friendship and loyalty has been proven by concrete action on the part of St. Marys citizens. And I take a great deal of offense from your statement. Charles Langshaw St. Marys " Question: Who is Mike McKinnon? Who is Charles Langshaw? What did Mr. McKinnon say that so offended Mr. Langshaw? Does Mr. Langshaw own a plane at the airport? What "concrete action" have the citizens taken? Lengthened the runway? What? Thursday, 4/24: I asked, you answered. Thanks! Anonymous said... Jay, Jeff Stanford is a proponent of the move and has been since day one. Mike McKinnon is a former commanding officer of Kings Bay and now heads the Camden Partnership, a local lobbying group. Mike is also a proponent of the move and has a long-term vision of how the airport can grow in size/business as well as attract new business to the County. New airport will realize long term growth. The "old" airport land would be sold off as an industrial park (possibly) and returned to the tax base bringing in additional tax revenue to the city. A win-win for all. As for the criticism of Sea Island, it is unwarranted. They are willing to donate the land at no cost to the city (immediate savings dont have to buy the land). They get a tax write-off. The FAA will require the city to reinvest/recapitalize the proceeds from the sale of the "old" airport, which is reasonable (people do this when they sell and buy houses). Saint Marys wouldn't go it alone; Kingsland, Woodbine and the county all signed on to move prior to the Feb 2007 no vote staged by Gary Blount. I also have heard that Brantley and Charlton County are interested in joining a regional airport. Costs are spread out more and more people benefit. Roger Rillo's letter and statement at the authority Monday night are contradictory. At the meeting he said the airport would be important to Land Resources and LandMar in attracting home buyers to Saint Marys. The same line he is accusing Sea Island of doing. What's the difference. Langshaw? Curmudgeon. Cinéma Vérité

Smith's very own grand jury praises jail ops.

Obviously, like their puppeteer, Big Thug Willie, this Camden grand jury is devoid of integrity and has no sense of shame. http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/042208/geo_270741062.shtml And don't forget, in addition to having former BTW deputy and husband of current CCSO property custodian Dena Sutton, Fred Sutton, as its chair and Gina "Santa's Little Helper" Evanson as a member, someone informed us earlier that the mother of one Deputy Coffel, of the vaunted BTW riverine forces, is on it as well. That, I presume, would be the wife of Jimmy Coffel, whom it is rumored is being recruited by Big Thug Willie to run against Commissioner Steve Berry. Ladies and Gentlemen, envision, if you will, this bogus grand jury and all of the thousands of Thuggie vermin in the county following along behind BTW like rats behind the pied piper until they reach the highest point in the county - appropriately, the top of the landfill. Once they've reached the top, following Bill Smith's lead, they all turns their backs on the the decent folks below, drop their pants, moon us, then turn around, stand up, and in unison, give us the old, clenched fist thrusting sign for "up your ass," then fall down laughing. As you enter your polling place in July, be sure to recall that image up to the front of your mind. 3:40 PM. This just in: The reason BTW could not be reached for comment (not that he would have) is that he is hiding out in Charleston, desperately hoping that his Walker / Cisco problem will go away in his abscence. Word is he'll be in hiding up there for the next two weeks.

Sunday Funnies, Volume 8

Another one from Uncle Harry: The Aisle Seat Two Radical Arab Terrorists boarded a flight out ofLondon . One took a window seat and the other sat next to him in the middle seat... Just before takeoff, a U.S. Marine sat down in theaisle seat.. After takeoff, the Marine kicked his shoes off, wiggledhis toes and was settling in when the Arab in the window seat said, "I need to get up and get a Coke." "Don't get up," said the Marine, "I'm in the aisle seat, "I'll get it for you." As soon as he left, one of the Arabs picked up the Marines shoe and spat in it.When the Marine returned with the Coke, the otherArab said, "That looks good, I'd really like one, too." Again, the Marine obligingly went to fetch it. While he was gone the other Arab picked up the Marinesother shoe and spat in it. When the Marine returned, they all sat back and enjoyed the flight. As the plane was landing, the Marine slipped his feet into his shoes and knew immediately what had happened. "Why does it have to be this way?" he asked. "How long must this go on? This fighting between our nations? This hatred? This animosity? This spitting in shoes...... and pissing in Cokes?" THE FEW. THE PROUD. THE MARINES.

Yessirree, the T&G is definitely back - with a vengeance!

http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/04/18/opinion/2opinion4.18.txt http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/04/18/opinion/letters/2letter4.18.txt Okay, that's all of the freebies: now go on out and spring for 50 cents for the hard copy. It's worth it for the front page story on the Camden Grand Jury presentment and chairman and former CCSO deputy Fred Sutton's role in it. Better yet, if you do not already subscribe, start a T&G subscription today. Show them that their efforts to expose the ubiquitous corruption in the CCSO and the good ol' boy system are much appreciated.

Move the St. Marys Airport?

That is once again under consideration by the St. Marys City Council. I've opened a thread on the forum associated with this blog. http://pub26.bravenet.com/forum/2178398764/show/725344 In the event that you are not that familiar with the story, here is a link to Jill Helton's coverage of the last city council meeting discussion. http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/04/18/news/top_stories/1topstory4.16.txt Update: Latest from today's T&G: http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/04/18/news/top_stories/1topstory4.18.txt

GTU's Mark Woods: "Gasoline and good ol'boys"

"In case you missed it, Sheriff's Capt. Wesley Walker testified under immunity during a civil racketeering hearing that he had been told about the payoffs by a Cisco Travel Plaza employee. He said he didn't tell anyone. He gave a good reason. Well, good if you're trying to add to the perception of an incestuous, good ol' boy network running the county." Mark Woods has nailed it. He has pretty well summed up the view of Camden that is seen by the rest of the "outside" world - and deservedly so. This is a must read for all decent Camdenians. Thuggies need not bother. http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/041808/woo_269540958.shtml

It ain't "dirt" when it's true, Bozo!

The mercifully infrequently heard from idiot proprietor of "Suppot Our Sheriff" has apparently returned from another secret mission abroad. He puts this question to candidate Rich Gamble: "3. Unlike the current race for the presidency can we expect the campaign for sheriff to be ran clean or have a return of the dirt throwing of the last race for sheriff?" Can anyone point out to me one single, solitary accusation of mis or malfeasance alledged against Bill Smith last go round by Mr. Gamble which subsequent, well-documented revelations - most notably by Gordon Jackson - have not proven to be demonstrably true? I dare say that subsequnt events have proven that Mr. Gamble barely revealed the tip of the iceberg that is going to sink BTW.

Cisco update.....

Remember how the state said that they could re-open CISCO's if they agreed to a $500,000 fine with $250,000 up front and the other half waived if they kept their noses clean for some period of time? Well, it appears that the state let them go ahead and open on a PROMISE to cough up the $250,000 by a date certain. That date passed last week. That was after the Florida officials shut down the current owner's ops in Florida. Apparently, there is not enough operational liquidity left. Talk is that the court has had about enough. Look for forced bankruptcy proceedings in the near future. Tuesday, 4/15: As you can see, today's GTU confirms what I told y'all last night. So, Thuggies, what does that tell you about my sources and their accuracy? http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/041508/met_268337231.shtml

Another candidate for Camden County Tax Commissioner ?

It has come to me from a reliable source that Pat Smith -yes, the Pat Smith whose late daughter died in a questionable "hunting accident" with then husband, an untouchable relative of Sheriif Bill Smith (no kin) - is seriously testing the waters to help her take a decision on whether or not to run for Camden County Tax Commissioner. Any opinions on how she might fare in a three - way race against the incumbant, Beth Soles, and Mr. Blue?

From way deep down inside the belly of the beast...

Turns out I was right about the grand jury presentment originating in the CCSO. The assumption that Simper Fido was editor-in-chief was a no brainer. But now, it turns out that his research assistant - the one who came up with all those figures on how many dollars BTW supposedly saved us with the trusty program - was noneother than that simple file clerk, County Commissioner Charlene "Chuckie" Sears. I'll bet new boat toys are in the Sears' future. And y'all thought all she was doing lately was growing her hair longer and blonder for BTW. Shame on y'all. Now, if we can just find out which grand jury member was the liason with the BTW campaign operatives. Anyone ACTUALLY know?

Sunday Funnies, Volume 7

Here's another one e-mailed to me by my uncle Harry in Adelaide, Australia. NED FROM K- MART This is why women should not take men shopping against their will. DON'T TAKE ME IF I DON'T WANT TO GO After Mr. and Mrs. Fenton retired, Mrs. Fenton insisted herhusband accompany her on her trips to K -Mart. Unfortunately, Mr. Fenton was like most men--he found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunately, Mrs. Fenton was like most women--she loved to browse. One day Mrs. Fenton received the following letter fromher local K -Mart. Dear Mrs. Fenton, Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behaviour and may be forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr. Fenton are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras. 1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they weren't looking. 2 . July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals. 3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom. 4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, "Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away." 5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M's on lay -by. 6. September 14: Moved a "CAUTION - WET FLOOR" sign to a carpeted area. 7. September 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department. 8. September 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?" 9. October 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose. 10. November 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were. 11. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the " Mission Impossible" theme. 12. December 6: In the auto department, he practiced his "Madonna look" by using different sizes of funnels. 13. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled "PICK ME! PICK ME!" 14. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a foetal position and screamed "OH NO! IT'S THOSEVOICES AGAIN!" And last, but not least .. 15. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, "Hey! There's no toilet paper in here!" Regards, K -Mart

Oops, I almost missed it!

And I would have, too, had it not been for this comment: Anonymous said... Fred [Sutton the damned grand jury foreperson, no less] is the son of Jack Sutton. Jack served on the county commission with BTW and is a long time supporter. Fred is a former deputy and his wife is a current deputy. Another member of this grand jury was Mrs. Coffel the mother of one of the crew of the USS Willie.Reading the grand jury presentments, the section on BTW and the trustys looks like it was adopted exactly as Terrell wrote it. April 12, 2008 11:43 AM When I saw that , I knew I had missed something. I went back and fished my last T&G out of the trash can. Sheezam! There it is, on page 10A: "November Grand Jury announces presentments." In short, the grand jury gives BTW a clean bill of health and, in fact, heaps praise on the lying vermin for the way he has wiped his ass on the law regarding the trusty program. No mention whatsoever is made of the illegal use of trusties on private property - most notoriously, Smith's own! Folks, if there is still a scintilla of doubt that we cannot fully cleanse this county until every living, indigenous, tribal good ol' boy is swept from office, then get yourself a copy of Friday's T&G and read this crap. Note: the T&G can not be faulted in any way for this. They have to print it verbatimn as they get it. There is not a speck of doubt in my mind that this political-ad-posing-as-a-presentment was written by someone in the Smith camp - probably Simper Fido - then smuggled in by one of the grand jurors. Take heart - the scum has not been able to stack the federal grand jury. The story I hear is that they have indictments on 17 different charges headed Big Thug Willie's way.

Big Thug Willlie's worst nightmare!!

NUCLEAR FLASH! I have just learned that Wesley Walker has been given immunity from prosecution by the feds as well! STANDBY !

FLASH, this just in....

Current CISCO owners' operations in Florida shut down by state. The State of Florida apparently has caught them cheating in that state as well. All of their operations, including supplying the Georgia CISCO stations with fuel trucked out of Florida, have been shut down. It is unknown for certain at this moment if Florida has frozen all of their Florida assets as well, but surely will if they have not already. All of this will likely be in Monday's GTU. FBI and GBI agents trailed by Smith's goons! A reliable source has reported that Thuggie goons loyal to Sheriff Bill Smith have been tailing both F.B.I. agents and G.B.I. agents as they continue to make their rounds of Camden investigating both Smith's malfeasance and the CISCO debacle. One can only assume that they are reporting back to whom ever is running Smith's counter intelligence / damage control / disinformation ops, if not Smith himself. It gets worse.... One of my sources has learned that about a month ago, a female, formerly a manager with Cisco's, was "picked up" by a CCSO employee, taken for a ride, and warned not to co-operate with the GBI or the FBI in the CISCO investigation. The woman is now at an undisclosed location and co-operating with both the F.B.I. and G.B.I. Folks, I am not making this stuff up. My legitimate informants have been 100% reliable to date. I have full confidence in the above information.

And so, the crooked knot begins to unravel....

This morning, I'm hearing as yet unconfirmed rumors that Walker's wife has left him for ratting out Daddy Fairley. So, those millions are history for Wesley. He's still drawing his hush money - er, salary - from our no-good sheriff. But, as someone suggested on the GTU comments, if his paycheck is on direct deposit to his checking account, then it is also frozen. Mr. Walker, this looks like an ideal time for you to be in serious negotiations with the feds about the federal witness protection program. If I were you, I would think twice about an invitation to live out at the Ponderosa on freshly butchered pork. You wouldn't want to get stricken with one of those "sudden illnesses" way out in the woods. Update: Saturday, 2:00 PM. A source in the know has just informed me that last week, the court "unfroze" Sleazy Talker's county pay check as well as his wife's schoolboard paycheck. The hogs are safe for now, even though they will no doubt be on their own soon.

The understating Oracle at Woodbine.

This morning, on the front page of the GTU, Gordon Jackson has a slightly expanded version of his catch-up flash from about 9:30 AM yesterday on Walker's suspension (to be fair, Gordon had been tied up over in Waycross on the case of the murderous 3rd graders). Betwen then and deaeline Firday, Gordon managed to get through to Camden County Commission Chairman Preston Rhodes who is always good for a quote. Here's yesterday's gem: Preston Rhodes, chairman of the Camden County Commission, said he agreed with the decision to place Walker on leave. "There is clearly potential for a conflict there," Rhodes said. "That was the only thing they could have done." No, Mr Rhodes, it is not. "They" - they being none other than Camden County's damned sorry sheriff, Bill Smith - could have and SHOULD have fired his sorry ass within an hour of the conclusion of his testimony under immunity. As if any further proof were needed, here is yet another example of Mr. Rhodes' long-standing performance in office as little more than a wind-testing, vascillating, vacuous, posturing, nincompoop. Is there something in the water in his district that prevents it from producing a better candidate? Come on, someone, step up and run.

Welcome back, Tribune & Georgian: so long, Toady & Grovel.

If you have not yet received your T&G in the mail or put your two quarters into the slot, you are in for a pleasant surprise when you do. The old "hold their crooked feet to the fire" T&G is back with a vengeance. Way to go, Jill! I would give you the links to the specific articles, byt they haven't updated the sight yet. Hey, spring for 50 cents - they deserve it. Several hours later, here are the links:

http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/04/11/opinion/1opinion4.11.txt

On the front page, they reveal what we've covered days ago - that Capt. Wesley Walker is on paid administrative leave (paid vacation) to the tune of $51,000 annualy, plus benefits. Say, is he still driving a county car? Oh, but the front page is just the set-up for the editorial on page 4A. It is revealed that while Walker is on "administrative leave" there IS NO INTERNAL INVESTIGATION OF WALKER GOING ON! They go on to ask, and I quote, "Sheriff, why have you not altready fired Capt. Walker? How can you justify keeping him employed." They then go on to allude to the very reason that we all suspect Smith is scared to death to move on Walker. This week's cartoon even attacks the crooks, not one of their competing messengers. You might want to check later to see if they've updated their site at: http://www.tribune-georgian.com/ Good job, T&G. Welcome back! And speaking of Gordon Jackson....... Here is Gordon's dispatch to the GTU on the matter, not yet two hours old: Anonymous said... Here's the latest from the GTU....Just In--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Camden Sheriff’s Office captain on paid leave after Cisco testimonyPosted: Friday, April 11th, 2008 at 9:43 amBy GORDON JACKSONThe Times-UnionKINGSLAND — A Camden County Sheriff’s deputy who testified last week about three Camden County service stations shut down for shorting customers on fuel purchases has been placed on paid administrative leave.Testifying under immunity in hearing on a civil racketeering suit, Capt. Wesley Walker said he was told about payoffs as high as $20,000 to a state inspector to give advance notice of surprise inspections of gas pumps. Walker testified he never told anyone until he was questioned by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation the following week.Walker also testified he checked the pumps for fingerprints after inspectors with the Georgia Department of Agriculture on Feb. 12 shut down the Cisco Travel Plazas at Exit 1 and Exit 6 off Interstate 95 and the Cisco Express service station, also at Exit 6.Investigators said customers were shorted about one quart of fuel for every five gallons pump gauges indicated was dispensed. During testimony in last week’s trial, attorneys representing customers who were overcharged for fuel purchases estimated as many as one million customers may have been affected.Sheriff’s officials did not return calls to say how long Walker will remain on leave or why he was placed on leave.Walker is the son-in-law of Fairley Cisco, the original owner of the businesses. Cisco was called to testify in last week’s hearing but cited rights against self-incrimination and declined to answer questions. His and the assets of others in his family remain frozen. Another Camden hardware store bites the dust.

84 Lumber, in Kingsland, is a goner. http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/stories/2008/04/07/daily45.html?ana=from_rss Let's see, I believe that is only the second one to close since Lowe's opened. The first was the Ace Hardware in St. Marys. Have I missed any? So much for that gigantic building spurt that was going to make paying off infrastructure bonds a piece of cake. I stuck my head into 84 Lumber once, but immediately realized it was strictly contractor oriented. Anyone have any ideas what would be an ideal match for that structure, or care to guess what kind of ill-suited fool will next pee away a vast sum in it? Perhaps Marion could open his own highly bigoted church in it.

Jill Helton returns as editor of Tribune & Georgian

The hard copy of today's T&G carries the story that Jill Helton the former editor just prior to Jonathan Maziarz, has returned to her old position. Jill arrived here from her home state of Illinois in 1993, about the same time I arrived from Savannah. I know Jill and consider her a friend. Although we have not always agreed on everything in the T&G during her prior tenure - especially during her younger days as a reporterette - I've watched her mature into a pretty good reporter and a not-too-shabby editor. She most assuredly knows all of the players in county politics and bureaucracy. I'm guessing that Simper Fido's free run of the T&G pages has just come to a screeching halt. I hope that we will now see a return to the T&G's rightful role as watchdog, as opposed to it's brief post-Maziarz slide toward lap-dog status. My guess is that it will. Welcome back, Jill.

You can do your part to clean up Camden.

Here are some interesting P.O.S.T. (Ga. Peace Officers Standards and Training Council) rules. 464-3-.05 Notification of Disciplinary Action. Any applicant/candidate for certification or person certified pursuant to O.C.G.A. Title 35, Chapter 8, who has disciplinary action taken against him/her by any agency, organ, or department of this State, a subdivision or municipality thereof, or federal, shall notify the Council within fifteen (15) days of said action. For purposes of the fifteen (15) day time limit, evidence that notification was mailed within fifteen (15) days shall be sufficient. Disciplinary action as used herein means any action taken by any municipal, county, state or federal agency against a certified officer, which meet any of the following criteria: (a) arrest by local, state, or federal authorities; (b) suspensions, in totality, of thirty (30) days or longer for singular incidents of misconduct, demotions (other than for administrative purposes), termination by employing agency, or resignations in lieu of terminations; (c) indictments of presentments in any local, state or federal courts; (d) conviction or bond forfeiture, in any local, state or federal court. The term "conviction" shall include a finding or verdict of guilt, plea of guilty, or a plea of nolo contendere, regardless of whether the adjudication of guilt or sentence is withheld or not entered thereon; (e) minor traffic citations written to a certified officer need not be reported to the Council. 464-3-.06 Notification Required by Employing Agency. Amended. Employing agencies suspending for thirty (30) days or longer, demoting (other than for administrative purposes) , discharging an applicant/candidate for certification or certified officers for disciplinary reasons or accepting resignations in lieu of termination shall inform the Council in writing within fifteen (15) days of such action and records concerning the disciplinary action shall be made available to an investigator with POST Council. 464-3-.07 Inquiries to Determine Compliance. The Council shall have the authority to initiate inquiries to determine compliance with the Peace Officer Standards and Training Act by an individual officer or employing agency of State and local government. The officer's waiver signed upon application shall authorize the Council to obtain documents and other information necessary for the inquiry. CCSO Capt. Wesley Walker is currently on "paid administrative leave pending an investigation" for his now notorious failure to report the multi-million dollar felonious conspiracy in which his father-in-law, Fairley (how's that for irony) Cisco was the principal conspirator and his daughter (Walker's wife) was apparently a beneficiary. My guess is that Big Thug Willie has NOT reported this to P.O.S.T., nor has Walker, himself, as required. Moreover, knowing the way Smith's mind works, he will probably make sure that the suspension does not exceed 29 days total. It is an unfortunate oversight in the rules that admitting to a career -ending breach of sworn duty in open court under a grant of immunity is not covered specifically in the rules. Perhaps we can encourage them to modify the rules to deal with that loophole. At any rate, you may wish to advise the P.O.S.T council as to what is going on with Capt. Wesley Walker. You may wish to express your desire that he be stripped of his certification and banned for life from wearing a badge in Georgia ever again. Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council P.O. Box 349 Clarkdale, Georgia 30111-0349 Phone: (770)-732-5974 FAX: (770)-732-5952 On another matter....... I appreciate the fact that the feds will almost certainly indict Sheriff William E. Smith on a muliplicity of federal charges, eventually. However, if they keep dilly-dallying around, we may well find that the Thuggies will re-elect the bum. Then, when he is indicted and convicted, we will be faced with the expense of a special election to elect as his replacement one of the two perfectly good opposition candidates we have now. It would be most helpful to see BTW indicted PRIOR to the July primary. If you feel as I do, you may wish to communicate that to the U.S. Attorney, William Traynor. William Traynor U.S. Attorney's Office 600 U.S. Court House 75 Spring Steet, S.W. Atlanta, GA 30303 Phone: (404)-581-6000 Fax: (404)-581-6181 I thank you and your fellow decent citizens will thank you. P.S., If you want to write directly to Sheriff William E. Smith and ask him to fire Walker and, while you're at it, ask Smith to have the decency to withdraw from the race for the good of the community, here is his address: Camden County Sheriff's Office P.O. Today is the 4th anniversary of the day when I came down with an intestinal bacterium which led to my paralysing Guillain - Barre syndrome. If you have just joined us, you may have missed my early posting about what GBS is and how to recognize the symptoms. If so, you should know that knowing the symptoms of this rare autoimmune disorder could save you a lot of nerve damage, if not your life. Sunday Funnies, Vol. 6

Thanks to my uncle, Harry Connor, USAF retired and living in Australia for today's funny. For those that don't know him, Major General Peter Cosgrove is an 'Australian treasure!' General Cosgrove was interviewed on the radio recently. You'll love his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children. Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this! This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of an ABC interview between a female broadcaster and General Cosgrove who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military headquarters. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Cosgrove, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base? GENERAL COSGROVE: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it? GENERAL COSGROVE: I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children? GENERAL COSGROVE: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you're equipping them to become violent killers. GENERAL COSGROVE: Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you? The radio went silent and the interview ended.

Yesterday's Cisco / RICO proceedings.

http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/040508/bus_265179212.shtml The state offered Sleazy Talker limited immunity to get him to roll over on Cisco. Perhaps the Feds should consider offering him the witness protection program, complete with plastic surgery, if he will roll over on BTW.

BTW's ace detectives are at it again!

A reliable source tells me that the word being put out to the troops over at the CCSO is that Capt. Wesley "Sleazy Talker" Walker is on PAID administrative leave while they conduct an investigation to try to figure out if he may have violated any laws which might effect his continued employment with the CCSO - not to mention his P.O.S.T certification. Hello! Bill - take some drug money, go down to the GTU office, and buy copies of all editions of the GTU since Monday. Case solved. Could you be pussyfooting around, Little Willie, because if he torpedoed your gambling, whoring, partying, thieving buddy, Fairley, he might damn well fire a spread up your kiester if you push him? Yeah, we know the drill: "No comment."

Who is the bespectacled guy?

Okay, so here's today's post Maziarz, Toady and Grovel cartoon. The caption over the radio reads " ...and in other news, despite several ongoing investigations into his conduct, Sheriff Bi9ll Smith announced that he will seek re-election in 2008." The joyous, bespectacled guy hollers "Woo -Hoo! My career is safe?" Well, at first I thought it was a shot at competing journalist Gordon Jackson. But then, there's the dog on the guy's shirt. Simper Fido? Both? A cartoon where you can't be about 99.9% sure who they're going after rather sucks, in my humble opinion. How do y'all interpret the thing?

Yesterday's Cisco RICO proceedings

http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/040408/met_264899485.shtml Question: Why has Sheriff Bill Smith, in an election year, not yet fired Capt. Wesley Walker and initiated an investigation by the state P.O.S.T. certification board to have his certification revoked? The possibilities as to why not are intriguing, to put it mildly. The post-Maziarz Tribune & Georgian.

I've been doing course work all day, so I just got around to reading my hard-copy of today's T&G (Toady and Grovel?) a few minutes ago. Apparently, to atone for the past editorial decisions of Jonathan Maziarz, an entire quarter page in the upper left-hand corner of page 3A is now reserved for the exclusive use of Der Willie's Minister of Propaganda, Simper Fido Terrell. This week, we are regaled with tales of heroic at sea rescues performed by the vaunted CCSO Marine Patrol and Anti-Terrorism Squadron. To dispell any doubt that this is a free political ad, just read the last two paragraphs where Simper Fido quotes BTW. It's enough to make you puke. Note that, once again, there is no attribution to a T&G employee for either the photo or the text. Obviously, both were provided by Simper Fido. Alan just saluted smartly and published the weekly propaganda installment as ordered. Then, in the letters-to-the-editor section, we see that if you are attacking Jack Kingston, you do not need to worry abou the 500 word limit. Then, of course, there is the required editorial, flacking the centrality of "downtown" St. Marys to all aspects of life as we know it here in Camden. I suspect that there is a ripe market here for a second newspaper with an owner/publisher/editor with large, Titanium balls.

But we have to draw the line somewhere!

Think of all of the self-aggrandizing crap which Der Willie's Minister of Propaganda, Simper Fido, puts out - on the taxpayers payroll. Picture the damned hand-painted BTW campaign truck parked in WalMart's parking lot and who knows where else (somebody please e-mail me a picture of that thing.) Now, get a load of this Thuggie attack on Tommy Gregory's wife and campaign from Topix Kingsland. Truck ad at Courthouse ? Posted in the Kingsland Forum J L Owens Saint Marys, GA Reply » Report Abuse Judge it! #1 14 hrs ago Judged: 1 1 Can that truck be legally parked on county property? I know there are rules that limit those activities, especially by a spouse that works for the County Commission. porkchop charlie Saint Marys, GA Reply » Report Abuse Judge it! #2 1 hr ago Yes it can. There is nothing illegal about Mrs. Gregory parking her vehicle in a public parking place. KG Rawls Kingsland, GA Reply » Report Abuse Judge it! #3 1 hr ago While not illegal, it seems that it is lacking in good judgement. With accusations flying about "damned insiders" at some point, everyone can have the finger pointed at them. (JAY) I'm sure the desperate Thuggies are talking about the Gregory's pick up truck which I saw at his rally the day before Easter. It has some professionally rendered campaign signs on it. So long as she doesn't drive through the doors of the courthouse and park it in the lobby, I'm thinking she's okay. Could someone parse Mr. Rawls' statement for me? Is he making a left-handed attempt to brand the Gregorys as damned outsiders, or what? He is no doubt one of the tribal Rawls of pre-I-95 pecan shop fame, right? Update: 04/03/08 The Thuggie idiots are still trying to squeeze a drop of political advantage out of this non starter. Check it out: http://www.topix.com/forum/city/kingsland-ga/TEOGLEABDIFSOERIP Hello! There is no vote going on at the county courthouse just yet. Mrs. Gregory is parking the truck in the designated employee parking lot (which hardly qualifies as part of the "right-of-way," Paco-Waco) in the morning and taking it home with her when she leaves for the day. There is nothing immoral, unethical, or unlawful, much less illegal, about that, you dopes. When I parked my van in the designated disabled, van accessible, parking spot out the back door of the tag office, it had three Gregory for Sheriff decals on it. Was that immoral, unethical, illegal, etc, etc? Now, when you go park an old, unsightly, hand painted, rednecks for Bill truck on the private property of Walmart, without permission and secure in the knowledge that they would not dare have a pro-BTW truck towed as an abandoned, non- customer vehicle parked illegally on their property, that smacks of Thuggery.

Yes, the apparently crooked Cisco inspector has died!

My sources are the greatest. This from a courtroom witness to yesterday's Cisco proceedings. The current state inspector covering this area is named Stafford. Mr. Stafford testified yesterday that he was told that the presumably crooked inspector, one ( are you ready for this) Jeff Davis, died a few weeks ago. Stafford did not discuss how the man died. I'm guessing that will come out sooner rather than later. Stafford also testified that the late Jeff Davis would suggest to him (Stafford) when they should go to inspect Cisco's and ask him (Stafford) when he was going to inspect. Does anyone know if Stafford is the inspector who discovered the discrepancy and blew the whistle? Answer: Yes, indeed he was. I just went back and re-read the GTU coverage. Here's what I found: Mike Stafford, the inspector who discovered the problems, said he went to the station at Exit 6 for a routine inspection Feb. 7 and reported no problems. Stafford said he returned five days later on orders from superiors in Atlanta after a complaint was filed against the station. That inspection on Feb. 12 showed the pumps "were way out of tolerance," Stafford said. He also found the seals that prevent tampering "were not properly secured to prevent re-calibration." Good on Mr. Stafford and the citizen who filed that complaint!

As suspected, Cisco warned of "surprise" inspections!

Photo by Chris Viola, GTU staff, shows state inspector checking calibration of pumps at Cisco's
It's on the front page of today's Georgia-Times Union. Here's the link: http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/040108/met_263729748.shtml
I:45 PM: The rest of the story. Normally, I re-write information from my reliable sources. However, this communique is so concise and on-target, it is coming to you just exactly as I received it moments ago, from an eyewitness to yesterday's court room proceedings:
Wesley Walker stuck it to Fairley under a grant of immunity. However, Walker was only given immunity from the state. His attorney didn't realize there is a federal case also. Fairley was paying the state inspector and Walker kept it to himself saying he didn't want to be involved. This was told to Walker by Robert Clark. Robert Clark advised Walker that he tampered with the pumps and handled the pay offs. Walker said three times that he was told the inspector was paid $20,000.00 from Cisco. Now we have the son in law, a sworn police officer, not revealing that he had been given major information about paying off a state inspector and was also told about the pumps and he didn't report it. He did say that he told the G.B.I. and F.B.I., but that was after he was contacted. He did not reveal he had information of criminal activity. Said it was because Fairley is his father in law. One important piece of information that came out was that Fairley was advised by the D.A., Steven Kelley that Fairley was a target of a federal grand jury in Savannah. I can not imagine a bigger den of thieves than this bunch. Wesley keeps information to himself about a major crime committed at a business that his wife is suppose to have an interest in and he states he did it because Fairley was his father in law. The businesses were transferred to the two daughters in 2001. This puts them in the middle of a criminal enterprise. It is just an incredible set of circumstances that could not have occurred except for the Cisco/Smith connection. Turns out the Sheriff's chief spokesman is also a major law violator. Gordon was pushed and didn't get it all in but this is the rest of the story. It is stuff that you couldn't make up. I think it is amazing the Sheriff's spokesman is doing in Smith's buddy Cisco, Cisco and even his own wife and sister in law. Don't you just know that Walker is in deep do with the whole bunch. It had to be one of the worst days of his great career in law enforcement. A law enforcement officer who picks and chooses when to enforce the law.
Note: Sleazy Talker is the same wise-assed son-of-a-bitch who, when I called to complain about my unlawful, politically motivated deprivation of my rights while in jail for eight hours beyond my bail being posted, in a 52 degree cell with no shoes and summer clothes, responded with a chuckle, "Well, I guess next time, you'll pay the damned fine (i.e, a traffic fine I opted to contest in Chatham County - and won!), won't you!," then hung up in my face.
May you rot in the federal pen, you dandy prick!
Question: Does anyone out there know, for a certainty, the name and/or current status of the individual who was tipping off Cisco about "surprise" state inspections?
