The next downtown battle is already shaping up.

In the not too distant future, the now obsolete and redundant Weed Street sewage treatment plant will be demolished and the land restored. One faction wants it put up for sale to the highest bidder to return it to the tax roles, almost certainly as a McMansion home site with a grand marsh view. The other side wants it to be a city mini-park. If you are not familiar with the site, just go to the east end of Weed St. I'm putting up a poll here in just a minute.

  1. Gross!!! who would want it for a park or a homesite after being a waste site. I am not interested.

  2. Yes, but think how green the grass would be - not to mention the killer vegetables!

Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.
