Gamble, short 312 signatures, bows out; congratulates Sheriff-Elect Gregory.
I would hope that Gamble is on the short list of prospective appointees to that oversight committee Tommy has talked about for determining how seized asset funds should be spent.
I think Rick handled it his disqualification very gracefully and I was proud that he had the decency to call the Sheriff-Elect and congratulate him. I agree Jay I think he would make an excellent addition to either the team or the department.
The only contact I have had with Mr. Gamble is through the high school. He has taught my daughter for two semesters and she is thrilled that she has him this coming year for both semesters. I was torn between wanting to see him become our sheriff and wanting him to remain in the classroom. I would expect nothing less than for him to congratulate Tommy.
Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.
So sorry about this...It would have been so cool to watch 2 HONEST men vie for the same office...sorry Rich...Congratulations tommy!!!
