Umm, that was good. First course: three pieces of delicately breaded and perfectly fried Alaskan pollock with Aunt B's own, inimitably good tarter sauce; cheesy cheese grits; and delicious Kentucky Wonder pole beans seasoned with fatback. Second course: two plump, tasty, fried chicken wings; extra cheesy macaroni and cheese - an Aunt B's signature dish; and chopped collard greens, cooked with a couple of smoked ham hocks in the pot and seasoned at the table with a spritz of Trappey's pepper vinegar. Dessert: the best pound cake I've ever had -and I come from a family of excelelnt pound cake baking ladies. All washed down with good, strong, BREWED iced tea.
