Sorry: no report on last night's county commission meeting.

One of my cousin Ann's twin, 9 year-old sons was killed in an automobile accident Saturday. I was in Savannah last night for the visitation.

  5. What was the item about concerning a "grant agreement" with the Woodbine Women's Club? That is Commissioner Zell's principal constituency, you know

  6. The county is going to be the fiscal agent for the Women's Club. I think is was a $2000 grant that they applied for.

  7. What in the hell does that mean? A grant from whom and for what - other than to enhance incumbent Zell's chances of re-election next year?

  8. With some Grants, you must have a agent to hold your money. Who can be the agent depends on what the grant is for. It does not cost the agent any money, they are a pass thru. I did not hear who the grant would be from. It is an admin thing and has nothing to do with an elected offical.

  9. Hello - Mrs. Zell is a member and past president of the Woodbine Women's Club.

I/m still trying to find out who the grant is from, the amount, the purpose, and who instigated it.

but cecily serving on the board of directors for church does nothing to enhance her chances, of course

  11. I heard that the Commission approved the appointment of Shirley Wise (current clerk of Probate Court) to serve as an Associate Probate Judge at the meeting on Tuesday.

  12. Is it possible to be that stupid naturally, or do you have to work at it. opf course it helps her chances - never siad it did not. It is a symbiotic (look it up) betwen the state rep and the pastor. Being seen paling around with high powered white folks in elected office enhances his standing with his sheep. The relationship also helps Hill politically. I never said it did not.

I was trying to point out to you apparently totally uneducable TOPIX idiots that Hill, a STATE elected official, has no say in or sway over the church's FEDERAL 501(c)(3) status.

If I ever become as stupid as these fools (i.e., brain tumor) someone please shoot me.

  13. Why not call and ask her yourself than relying on the Topix idiots for their take on it?

  16. As long as she has been there as Judge Gillette's # 2, there is no doubt that she is qualified. She has always been very helpful to me
whenever I've needed any info from her office.

Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.
