  1. I could not find Your email address so I will leave a comment instead. I have been unsuccessful with finding out if there will be any disabled parking at the 4th of July festivities. I have contacted the police dept city hall the welcome center and kbay and no one knows the answer. When I asked them would the city be making reserved disabled parking beings how they have blocked all the available ones downtown off no one can help. Do you know or have you heard of parking? I may have misinterpeted the ADA but thought it said reasonable accomadations shall be made to assist the handicapped
    Thanks for your time

  2. Given that I have no compelling reason to go "downtown" any farther than St. Marys Seafood and More, I had not given it any thought. However, I can appreciate your frustration. Let me see what I can do.

  3. I have e-mailed mayor and council, chief of police, and Herb Rowland of Kiwanis Club.

  4. I ran into Herb Rowland at Aunt B's last night.

Here's where the disabled parking will be.

Option A: Come on down Dilworth until it becomes St. Marys St. (the one that parallels the river and runs infront of the park.) All of the parking places on the river side of the street from the western most one eatward to whereever the vendor spaces start will be marked as disabled parking.

Option B. Come in from the other end - the eastern end of St Marys St. - from down by the old Gilman boathouse. All the parking from the east end up to where the vendors start will also be designated disabled parking.

Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.
