Another case from the "Oh, but MY pit bull would never do that!" files.
Jay did you see the article in the Georgia Times Union today. Councilman Bird was cleared once again.
In addition, Charlie brought out the big guns Sheila McNeil, talk about a conflict of interest. Sheila should've told the reporter just how much the navy would save if the airport was relocated at taxpayers expense.
Airport relocation supporter Sheila McNeill, former president of the national Navy League, said she was "stunned" by the ruling.
"If there is even the perception of a conflict, they [council members] should remove themselves from voting," McNeill said. "This is not an airport issue, it's an ethics issue. "
Of course. Scroll down 2 posts to "As Gomer would say, "Surprize, surprize!" Until it gets booted up to the State Ethics Commisssion, nothing will come of it.
Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.
