The revenge of "No Conflict Bird" Ethics Committee hearing for the "Airport 4" is tomorrow.
Conveniently scheduled at 5:00 PM in the Lilliput City Council chamber.
All of the info the city apparently thinks the public needs to know can be found at: http://www.ci.st-marys.ga.us/
I read your reference to the agenda for the St. Marys ethics hearing. It does not say what the purpose of meeting or hearing or what ever it is suppose to be is. Is this all that is requried? I don't want to attend a meeting unless I know what it is about. How can we find out what the meeting is for?
I understand there is some issue if they can investigate some thing that is violation of state law. They took an oath of office to up hold the law. Violation of the law is unethical. Violation of the sunshine law is illegal and violation of your oath of office is illegal. They will find a way to get out of any investigation unless there is some out cry.
Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.

ReplyDeleteShort of actually attending, damned if i know!
ReplyDeleteJay,
ReplyDeleteAre you going to give a TRUE blow by blow of this meeting; with all the juicy cogent details?
I'll probably be there.
ReplyDeleteI expect that it will simply be another smoke-and-mirrors Make the Rules, Break the Rules, Ammend the Rules, Bend the Rules round of obfuscation.
ReplyDeleteYou might well be right.
