Former St. Marys Mayor Ward Hernandez has died.

Sorry, I almost forgot that Sidney Howell made that announcement at the city council meeting last night. I believe he said that he had died earlier in the day.     Yes, he was the Mayor just before Jerry Brandon. Great Guy!!

    By the way, I'm curious: did Jerry Brandon have any opposition the first time he was elected mayor?

    Not sure if he had opposition or not. But Ward didn't run again the year Brandon won.

Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.
