St. Marys in good hands.

While the substance of the issues in front of the St. Marys Council last night was not particularly remarkable, the obvious quality of this iteration of the council most assuredly was. In the persons of Hase, Trader, Deloughy, Post, and Morrisey, I can personally attest that we have, far and away, the most competent council we have had since I arrived in August of '93. I would be very surprised if they were not the most competent ever. All have the combination of innate intelligence, education, and professional backgrounds which make them ideally well prepared for their duties on council. If you doubt my assessment, just attend a few meetings or watch a few tapes.

  1. Did anyone expect you to say anything else? We are all just waiting for you give the "Mayor" a public reach around.

  2. I have no idea what that would entail, but obviously you do. Please enlighten us.

  3. Oh come on Jay. This is not a good time to start acting stupid.

  4. No - as a literate 62 year-old, I am not conversant with that trash talk.

  5. How do you know it's "trash talk" if you "have no idea what that would entail"?

  6. Because I've discerned that the author is trash.

  7. It is in credible that you are so out of touch with the people of St. Marys. That bunch is the most inept yet. They are out of touch with the community and up to their self interest butts in programs that are no benefit to this City. Your bias is just too obivious. Any one dancing with Hase is okay. Also, you back to your silly, child like resposnes to idiots. It is, as they say, difficult to determine who the idiots are. But I think we are getting a clear picture. Who the hell do you think you are fooling?

  8. Jay, you sure are a clever talker.

  9. Au contraire! The problem is that I understand the "people of St. Marys," especially the ones like you, all too well after nearly 17 years of careful observation.

  10. But don't forget, we've been observing you for 17 years too.

  11. When will you guys wake up? Jay is barking for Hase and her buddies. His motivation is not understood. Who know what it is all about. He is out of step with the voters and his Hase promoting is going to continue. He is like Hase. He gets out of step and stays out of step. What ever she and her cohorts are up to gets the approval of Jay. He will continue the bias no matter how inept and foolish they remain. We will just have to contend with Jay and his agenda.

  12. I have no "agenda," vis-a-vis the mayor and council. I simply despse seeing good, honorable people attacked and besmirched by lying, cowardly, libeling jackals such as yourself.

  13. Jay you have no agenda concerning Hase and crew and I just saw a squardon of bovines flying by my window. You are the last of the snake oil salesmen. Keep you eyes open because it is going to become clear what a bunch of jackasses we have wasting time on this airport mess. Minority elected officials are not representative of the community nor the needs of the tax payers.

So do I. That's why I can't stomach Deb Hase and gang, including her mouthpiece, Jay Moreno.

  15. I'll say one thing for you: you are consistent. Whenever you rant on Topix, you always write "you" when you should have written "your," just as you've done here.

Yeah, poor ol' shy, retiring Councilwoman Hase certainly needs a mouthpiece. What would she do without me?

That's what I love about this blog; the brilliant discussion, the verbal repartee, the razor sharp dissection of the salient, essential point in every debate which can be countered by cold, logical argument.

  17. Why, thank you, Alex. Glad you like it.

Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.
