Another case - just down the road - from the "Oh, but MY pitbull would never do that!" files.
This makes me so sick and so damned mad. I think the parents should be charged with child endangerment by having one of those dogs in the house with a little one. As much bad publicity as there has been about these dogs attacking people, How could a parent have one in the same area as a precious baby. It's just plain stupid. The difference between ignorance and stupidity is..you do things out of ignorance because you don't know any better. You do things out of stupidity because you know better and do it any way. I'd have no sympathy if they threw both of them in jail!!!!!
I feel so sorry for the child. I have no sympathy for the parents. As a matter of fact, I think they should be charged with child endangerment for putting the baby in harm's way by having this animal in the house with a newborn. It's not to say that the public hasn't been made aware of the danger of this breed of dog(and I don't care how docile the owners have said the animal is)!!!
Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.
