The purpose of this blog is to provide the author, Jay Moreno, with an outlet to comment upon items of socio-political and socio-economic import in Camden County, Georgia and to generally satisfy a daily compulsion to write.
HISTORIC WATERFRONT, ST. MARYS, GA.
The address for the house on 4th street keeps changing, if the search warrant does not have the correct address, it will get thrown out of court. Then the owner can Thank the Tax Ass's office. My guess is Nothing will come of this. They will walk and then sue the city for stupidity. And one now has Stein, look out St. Marys.!
My understanding is that the house had "400" on the mailbox. Insofar as the police acted in good faith, I would doubt very seriously that a judge in this part of the country would throw out the fruit of the search.
It will be interesting to see if Stein handles this alone, or calls in some bigger guns with more experience defending serious drug charges.
The "Big Gun" has already been hired. I beleive a Mr Ossick will be handling this case. This guy can get anybody off with a slap on the wrist. He is the best defense lawyer in the SouthEast.
Ossick was probably hired by Stan. He owns property out near Stans place and they are buds, so to speak. Ossick is a awesome Attorney and all around great guy. He's very knowledgeable of these type cases, as he only handles this type.
I've heard several people talk of the massive amount of local elitest who are attached to these two and their business practices. One of the people (local realtor) being named has in excess of 20 rental properties. They're all in the process of shutting the other locations down until this thing blows over as they said will occur.
Please keep it clean and reasonably civil. "Public figures" are fair game, consistent with the "actual malice" exception. I suggest you Google both terms before you go off half-cocked.
