I wonder if Camden County BOE will do the same. We are paying extra for ESPLOST.

Chatham also has an ESPLOST. The ESPLSOT may only be used to fund capital improvements - not ongoing operating expenses. Those come from property tax assessments.

I know, but I don't think the people can afford a millage rate increase right now. The BOE gets more than their lions share from tax assessments. Before the BOE or any other board considers a millage rate increase they should streamline personnel. They are all currently in an excessive state.

I think it unlikely that they will increase the school millage rate. If they had intentions to dothat,they would not have asked for all of those early retirements and fired 4 teachers.
