The purpose of this blog is to provide the author, Jay Moreno, with an outlet to comment upon items of socio-political and socio-economic import in Camden County, Georgia and to generally satisfy a daily compulsion to write.

Congratulations! The Lions Club seems like they sponsor alot of good projects and activities in our community. I will look forward to hearing about your participation with the club. I know some nice people who are also members.
Well I see that you are doing things that you put Weaver down for doing. Being involved with groups and attending classes on local government. Maybe there is hope for you yet.
Clearly, you missed my point. My point was that an election should not be determined by how many different clubs you joined , committees you served on, etc., clearly with an eye towards using them in a campaign, in the absence of any germane educational preparation whatsoever for the post sought, as was clearly the case with Weaver.
By the way, had you been paying close attention and not been blinded by irrational hatred, you would have noticed that I signed up for both the Camden Citizens Academy (I'll graduate in November) and the St.Marys 101 classes (I'll graduate in December) well before ever qualifying to run for county commissioner. I've always maintained that those EDUCATIONAL efforts were very worthwhile and germane to holding local public office.
Well you are wrong. I sincerely wonder why you think that I care if you joined Lions. I belong to several organizations. I do not announce my membership on a blog for all to read because it is irrelevant and I don't think anyone cares or should care.
Oh, and that reminds me: I forgot to get my housekeeper to put my Lions member decal on the back window of my van, but I'l take care of that next tme she's here.
My Lions hat should arrive by the end of the week.

And why is it that you think that I, or anyone else, cares if you joined the Lions?
Oh, you know why, disingenuous breath!
Jay: Did you have to respond with "disingenuous breath"? You will never win a debate with name calling.
I thought it highly appropriate.
