So, Tripp, how much has been donated to the "Deputy's Christmas Fund" as of today, the end of its first week in existence?

This has been done by two people: Jay, and a freind who chooses to remain anonymous. I did not expect people to run to the bank to donate, so this does not surprise me. The fund is young and unorganized. I have scheduled a public meeting for anyone who wishes to attend Friday night, 6pm at the Woodbine Baptist Church. Please come and show your support. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss ways to raise money by promoting of the fund, and fundraisers. Any ideas you have will be appreciated. I also plan to create a panel of people to oversee the fund, therefore not leaving just one person envolved in the money. We really need your help, so please join us!! You can contact me via email at trippcasey@gmail.com

I note that my poll on who will/will not donate to this fund closed a few hours ago. Only 36% of repsondents said that they would contribute.

Apparently, some of the ill-will for BTW has spilled over onto the entire department - unfortunately.

I think a lot of the hold out is because there is really no set guidelines as to how this money is going to distributed and who will have access to this money.

I suspect that you are correct. Perhaps some folks will show up at the organizational meeting Tripp Casey has proposed for tomorrow night at 6:00PM at the Woodbine Baptist Church, which I assume is on Hwy 17, though he did not say. Anyone?

It is just off hwy 17 north turn right on 2nd street. (if you get to the Woodbine Bridge you went too far.) then it is on the right, same street as Bryan Lang Library. Address is 202 Camden Avenue.
Hope to see you there!

It could happen. I still don't like to telegraph my itinerary in Camden County. :-)
