I do not think Penny Woodard has a chance of winning. But obviously the county knew that Brent Green could not win the case so that is why they sent it to Federal Court.
And we pay him for WHAT???

I read the article and I think this is going to be a problem for Camden County. The fact that the case has been moved to Federal Court really poses a bigger problem for the defendants.
This is a classic Title VII case. I researched the firm that is representing her and they are brutal on discrimination and Title VII cases. Whoever is guiding her is making some very good choices as far as representation.
I now understand why Harvey chose not to seek re-election. I suspect you will see Nisi Blount and Charlene Sears follow his lead. Steve Berry should refrain from commenting on the case in the papers. He is really helping to build her case. He should take notice of how gingerly the Tribune is covering this. They were also named in the lawsuit.
But that's just my opinion based on everything that I have read thus far.
Interesting, but cryptic. Clearly, you know more about this than what you've given us. Why is T&G named as a defendant? What does Harvey Fry have to do with the law suit?
I too think that Sears and Catherine Nisi Blount Zell may not run becuase they know there is a very high probability they will not win re-elction even had the Woodard suit not been filed. Are you saying they will not run solely BECAUSE of the suit, and if so, why?
Okay, I just went back and re-read the article myself. I found this paragraph: "Commissioners Steve Berry, Katherine Zell, Charlene Sears and Magistrate Harvey Fry are also named individually in separate complaints by Woodard."
I note that St.David Rainer is not named. Nor is former Commiissioner Rhodes? Why not? Refresh my memory: when she was "passed over (according to her), was that when Sandy Feller and E. B. Herrin were still on the CCBOC?
What role did Harvy Fry have in her not being appointed to succeed Charles Ackeridge?
Harvey Fry confirmed all her bad check writting warrants.
I just got word from an impeccable source that the libel suits against both the T&G and the GTU have been dropped. The plaintif had no case as the alleged libel was based upon the publication of factual public court records which any citizen - much less the pres - has legal access to.

Well hell's bells - Fry could not very well withhold what was public record.
I work at a business that took a large (over $1500) bad check. She should have to repay the county all costs when her case is thrown out. You can't be looked over when you don't apply. She expected the county to just settle with her. It makes more sense for the county to fight this than the City of St. Marys to fight the soon to be coming lawsuit by the people trying to open the liquor store.
When St. Marys loses that suit, in a perfectly just world, all costs to the city should be spread evenly among the council members who voted to deny the man's rights and the entire congregation of the complaining church which pressured them into their vote in their zeal to force their beliefs down the throats of all Americans.
You mean like your heroine Deborah Haze?
Deborah HASE should pay her share, of course.
