Newest District 4 poll.
I've changed my mind: before I ask Sandy if he plans on running again, I thought I would run a poll with the three most likely actual candidates to let him better gauge interest in his possible candidacy.
Update, Saturday, 11/08, @ 1707.
I just got back from a great appreciation dinner for those who played significant roles in Tommy Gregory's victory. It ended 8 minutes ago. It was held at a home on the Little Satilla River off Dover Bluff Road with one of the top five most beautiful river and marsh views I've ever seen -and being from Savannah, I've seen plenty.
One of the guests brought up the subject of my possibly running for District 4. He made the comment that Chris Sears had told him that if Charlene runs for that seat again, she just may be doing it as a single woman because he has "had about all of the political crap (he) can stand."
Interesting.

most likely chris' was of saying he has no part of all the 2facing,
backstabbing,bs that we let all the elected people think they have 2 do. thats one of the reasons sandy has not did well staying in office he spoke his mind and the truth best he knew it and thats is political suicide..
Jay, you lost on two out of three so you start a third poll. You lost, and cant take it. You lost twice on your own blog. I know this will never ever be posted, but it is funny. I would vote for you if I lived in the district though. I would.
No, I started a third poll because i am going through a logical, methodical process of elimination to assist in my taking a final decision on whether or not to run.
That, and I'm testing the ingenuity of the guy who keeps running from one computer to another (no doubt at an institution with multip[le computers)to queer the results.
I not this mornign that all three "candidates" have the exact smae number of votes.
I can tell you I would never vote for Sandy Feller for anything. He turned into such a joke last time. It is clearly he is too easily swayed by his personal biases. i.e. Steve Berry. Jay please don't let Sandy be your personal barimeter for whether you will run or not. I think you could win the damn thing.
jay, what is the difference in who is running if you think that you can help the county then run.
if you are trying to pick who you would have to debate against say that. you are going about it like all our other elected ass backwards.
if you want in say so ,man up
All in due time - on MY schedule, not yours, jock breath!
Posts like your last Jay will be a reason people like that poster will not vote for you. You are a very smart person who is qualified for the job, except for your inability to take criticism (I know I didnt spell that right)
If you have the intelligence (if not the self-confidence) to spell criticism correctly (as you did), then surely you recognize that the
prick who had the temerity to question my manhood is no political friend and most assuredly had no intention of voting for me to begin with.
Let's make one thing clear: with me, what you see is what you get. I don't and won't pretend to be someone I'm not to gain votes. It is not in my nature. I say what I mean and mean what I say. If you prefer a dissimulating chameleon, I'm not your man.
What I meant sir, was thatother reading this blog as many people do will not appreciate or tolerate disrespecting of other citizens, no matter who they are. It is considered a degree of professionalism when you can take ones insults with a smile and no retaliation. Or, insult back with an intelligent reply that is not openly degrading. It is not not being yourself, or to me it isnt. It shows maturity and is really hard to do at times. I am not insulting you or trying to tell you what you should do at all Jay. I would enjoy to see someone that will not bow to the Camden Tsars. I think that person would be you. But a politician must appeal to the ones who are on the fence. Cussing and throwing insults around isnt a good way to do that.
I'll take that under advisement.
jay, now every person in politics has said the same you just said "what you see is what you get"
this poster has not disrespected you in any kind of way so why call them cock breath and prick.things like that is what you may want to try to control. why not ask question about why they think that way?
your intelligence may seem higher than your temper if you slow down to listen one person can't be rightall the time
Ladies and Gentlemen,
My thanks to those who have cast lefgitimate votes on the District 4polls to date.
I've long suspected that some low down, dirty, no good bastard with access to multiple IP's has ben queering the results/ Obviousl;y, he has now come out of the shadows by voting in such a way that the latest poll is a constant tie.
Clearly, any further voting will be waste of time.
Perhaps karmic justice will cause the sorry prick to die in intractable agony. One can always hope.
cut the crap- had my same thought.
jay you have some very good views.
but if jane doe has a different opinon you have to give respect and ask he for her opinon. 2 heads are better than 1
Possibly - provided that Jane is not self evidently an idiot.
jay, just my pointif jane is an idiot and you are in same room what are you?
Which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, but does give me insight into where you are actually coming from.
jay, i have been in camden before kings bay was here. and to my best knowledge there are 3 things we ask of people
1-be honest and i think you are!!
2-be straight foward with issues andi think you are!!!
3-be respectful if you get as good at # 3 as you are with 1 &2 you will not loose if you run
just learn to agree to disagree and talk the issues out find a middle
Thank you. I'll take that under advisement.
However, I would point out that if you show me a small legislative bidy where all votes end up being unanimous, (such as was once the case in St. Marys during the reign of Jerry and the Pirates)and I will show you incumbents who are more interested in being re-elected than doing their jobs to the best of their ability.
I think that compromise is highly overrated and the easy way out.
I would much prefer that all parties, after thorough and intellectually rigorus and honest evaluation of the matter at hand, vote their consciences without any consideration given to political futures or alliances, then abide gracefully by the results of the vote.

Sir or Madam,
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you inadvertentaly misquoted me. What I wrote was "jock breath," a clear reference to the jerk's use of the challenging and insulting phrase "man up," which apparently is a phrase currently popular with young, pseudo-macho, beer guzzling, couch potato, NFL fans.
jay, just reading the post this is my thought. the people seem to like and respect you greatly but they are asking you to inprove only on one thing. and dont see where they are asking you to change as a person just give a little repect and youll get alot of it in return.
Thank you. I'll take that under advisement.
Give them hell Jay. I wouldn't vote for a kiss ass anyway.
jay on this blog and speaking to a few neighbors we have came to think that if you run and the comm. wants to spend a dollar for something you dont think we need. if you can teach them to save that dollar in a different place..
you have our votes.
thanks
