HISTORIC WATERFRONT, ST. MARYS, GA.
Okay, for lunch today, I had the lunch sized eggplant parmigiana over spaghetti. That was preceded by a killer Greek salad. I dressed it with plenty of EVO and just a spritz or two of a very high quality balsamic vinegar. Of course, all was accompanied by their signature garlic rolls.
Everything was absolutely delicious! By the time the entree came, I had eaten so many of those irresistable and addictive little garlic rolls that I was able to eat just half my entree and second basket of rolls. I'll finish that off Saturday.
I have and honestly I was not impressed. I LOVED Mateos at exit 36 but found Matts lacking. My boyfriend had a calzone while I had the shrimp scampi. They were both rather bland. On the upside, the rolls are wonderful and the service was great. But $15 for mediocre at best scampi and good rolls is not going to cut it. I am at a lost because Italian food is my favorite and I was really counting on Matts being my salvation. I guess the search continues. Sorry Jay, but it just was not all that good.
Sorry to hear that. Did you go in for lunch or at night? The guy that's the cook (in addition to Matt himself who also cooks) at lunch time is the same guy from Matteo's. Not sure if he is there at night.
I've never had either of those dishes at Matteo's or Matt's, but I'll put them on my list of things to try and report on them.

Make that "EVOO."
Over a week and NONE of my readers have eaten at Matts?
