The purpose of this blog is to provide the author, Jay Moreno, with an outlet to comment upon items of socio-political and socio-economic import in Camden County, Georgia and to generally satisfy a daily compulsion to write.
HISTORIC WATERFRONT, ST. MARYS, GA.
Aside from the probability that pedophilic sexual predators are unlikely to threaten the safety of a trail, connecting schools with walkways to minimize the interaction of children with automobile traffic not only makes sense but promotes their ability to get from place to place on their own two feet. Confining our youth in mobile cages has not proved to be either healthy or safe. While the wolf accosted little red riding hood in the forest, most modern day child abusers seem to shy away from the light of day.
And it will be safe ("for children" is contextually implied, unless you have JDS)from pedophilic sexual predators hiding in the bordering woods because why?
Sorry the person that killed Somer Thompson was during the light of day. Jaycee Dugard was abducted waiting for a school bus in the light of day. The little boy, Christopher Barrios, in Brunswick was last seen on a swing set and disappeared. This was in the light of day. Carlie Brucia of Sarasota was abducted while walking home from a slumber party. I could go and on.
Don't sound naive. When exactly do you think these creeps look for children? You think they go out and prowl around for nocturnal children? No, they are watching during the light of day. They act both day AND night. These creeps are certainly not afraid of the light of day.
Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of a walking trail but I must say your comments make it sound like you think pedophiles are a minor threat and to be pooed pooed by parents.

"Aside from the probability that pedophilic sexual predators are unlikely to threaten the safety of a trail,.." Why would that be?
What is being referred to by "it" if not the trail?
