How Savannah is utilizing federal stimulus funds.

Does anyone know how much Camden got and what we are doing with it?

Call your friend Howard and find out. You would think something like that would have been in the paper so that the people could keep an eye on what they do with stimulus money. However, they will probably keep it quiet so they can use some of it to refund the Impact Fees since they are working on such a tight budget. Certainly they have done nothing to stimulate anything in this County.

According to this web site:

http://www.recovery.gov/Transparency/RecipientReportedData/pages/RecipientReportedDataMap.aspx?State=GA&datasource=recipient

Camden County reports 1 contract and 11 grants for a total of $8,409,182 and 13 jobs created or saved.

I dont know about the county. I do know Kingsland received a letter from Jack Kingstons office a few months ago saying that the city will receive $500,000 for water/sewer projects. Haven't heard anything in the last week or two.

Hey, that's only =/- $647,000 per job created /saved! Ain't Obamanomics grand?!

The thing about gifts is that you can't decide how they're going to be used. The recovery figures are based on what the recipients report. If the money is not being well spent, tell it to the recipients.
