The poll has closed.

No, not that one: the District 4 County Commission poll in the top right corner. It closed earlier today. I note that 42% of the 50 respondents expressed a wish for more choices. Other names mentioned so far have been Sandy Feller, Robbie Morgan, and Jack Barrick. Okay, why don't y'all come up with any other prospective candidates you would like to see run. Put them in the comments section of this post between now and Friday. Saturday, I'll run another poll with all suggested candidates (except the obviously silly ones some of you will no doubt submit.)

I would love to see Robbie Morgan run and get it but he does not live in this county. So Jay, you are the best choice! I would vote for you if I lived in that district.

Keith Post

Really? Where does Robbie live?

Could you tell us a little something about Keith Post?

Don't think Keith Post would be a good choice. He should stick with the Navy League. Based on the names that you have offered:

Jay, I think I will vote for you.

it would be interesting if we could get a candidate and then support him or her. a good grass roots campaign would be great.

Robbie lives in Glynn County

Robbie is a resident of Camden County. His wife owns a house in Glynn County and I think that it is on the market.

keith in is relestate dont think that would be a good choice. would /could have too much to gain.

remember under current circumstances the entire matter is resolved in the primary. the real estate industry will spend a fortune (bill gross, privett, etc.) to defeat a straight talker. the turn out in the primary is very low so the matter is possible.

Did anyone hear that Max Tinsley is getting the Planning Director position for the County? Please say it ain't so..... If this is indeed true!!! Will the elected ever learn that recycling a problem does not make the problem better, normally it makes it worse.

On a brighter note. Every where I go people are talking about the Superior Court Judge race and from the sounds of things I believe Anthony Harrison will be the next Superior Court Judge of Camden County. Hear there will be a Cecily Hill endorsement in the paper tomorrow.

keep in mind we must also replace ms. zell. her record is as bad as sears. in addition, your candidate would need a partner to "second" his (her) motions. without a second your candidate could be locked out by parliamentry procedure rules.

No, the last I heard, Tinsley had taken some sort of position on the base.

I've met Mrs. Zell. Seems like a nice lady. No doubt well intentioned. However, I tend to agree that unless she becomes a little - no, a good - bit more assertive and proactive on the commission, she will be very vulnerable to a challenger.

Saying she is as bad as Sears is, of course, a gross exaggeration.

I was looking at voting for Harrison but if Cecily Hill is about to endorse him, then I will have to take another look at those 2 candidates.

Cecily Hill has a proven track record of poor judgment, especially her whole hearted support of Bill Smith.

There is no endorsement from Cecily Hill in the paper.

Okay, here's the deal: Robbie Morgan maintains an apartment over his law offices. That is his legal residence for voting purposes. It IS in District 4. Ergo, he will be in tomorrow's poll.
