The purpose of this blog is to provide the author, Jay Moreno, with an outlet to comment upon items of socio-political and socio-economic import in Camden County, Georgia and to generally satisfy a daily compulsion to write.
HISTORIC WATERFRONT, ST. MARYS, GA.
No, I don't think so. This is about more than Smith, per se. This is about the local's fear of losing political control of Camden to the overwhelming population of "damned outsiders." It's about fear of losing their Cauco-American, native-Camdenian birhtright to be the beneficiaries of the Good Ol'Boy system of political spoils and patronage dating back to before the Civil War. The numerical superiority of damned outsiders and their increasing willingnes to get involved in local politics and go to the polls threatens the continued existence of the Camden Good Ol' Boy system. I can't share your optimism that the defeat and incarceration of the contemporary head of that snake will kill it. It is merely severely wounded, but could recover if we are not vigilant and proactive in ensuring its demise at every voting opportunity.
Jay the Thuggies have been busy over at Topix today. There are also a bunch of phychics over there as well. They are talking about all the money Tommy is going to waste before it even happens. Because somebody heard if from somebody else and of course that automatically makes it true.
eveyone jay is right everyone from camden county wants a gov. like new york and illinois. now them darn yankees there we should look up to. better yet to all the outsiders that live here unhappy interstate 95 will take you to where you want to go. if we agree with tommy or not atleast he is a hometown person and rich gamble knew he would lose again to a hometown person. if we wanted to live in a big city we would move there but why when ya are coming to us.

Doubtful that one will be needed. When Smith goes to prison, the last of the devoted thuggies will be scurrying for the nearest rock.
No one of the BTW inner circle, Darryl Griffis included, will ever get elected in Camden County.
