New, state-of-the-art, $1.2 million Georgia State Patrol post opens in Brunswick.
But WHERE in Brunswick. Does anyone know?

I thought Camden County was BROKE yet Diane Smith was thanked by Capt. Phillips for Camden County's monetary donation to help purchase furniture for thier new Patrol Post. While Sheriff Tommy Gregory was also thanked for his Departments monetary donation to the purchase of furniture. Yet nobody from Camden Countys three Law Enforcement Agencies were present to represent thier support. I would like to say that Judge Martin Gillette and staff were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony to show thier support for the income the GSP brings to the General Fund of this County. This sure speaks volumes for our two Police Chiefs and Lone Sheriff who obviously do not have a good working relationship with the men and women of the Blue and Gray.
THEIR absence makes that obvious to you? Perhaps the GSP is miffed because they don't get preriodic free lunches any more at Aunt B's and Spanky's in Brunswick paid for illegally out of Camden drug funds - if, indeed, there us any rift at all - which I seriously doubt.
Jay the Bill for 25 Troopers at Aunt B's is less than the price of 1 DUI ticket being issued, so it is benificial to bring them into the County to build a cohessive law enforcement working machine to fight crime in our community. That is not a illegal expenditure by the way, check with DOJ, it's a law enforcement function and training exercise. Good try though. I never said ther was a rift. I said there was not a good working relationship, meaning it should be better.
No. actually it was an illegal expenditure of drug funds. I remember checking it. But if you have the time to actuallty look up and copy the exact language in the rules governing the expenditure of shared assets saying it IS legal, I'll be glad to publish it.
