The purpose of this blog is to provide the author, Jay Moreno, with an outlet to comment upon items of socio-political and socio-economic import in Camden County, Georgia and to generally satisfy a daily compulsion to write.
HISTORIC WATERFRONT, ST. MARYS, GA.
Are the police going to patrol on little golf cart patrol cars equipped with blue lights and sirens? They can even dress up a couple of officers in civilian clothes like tourists and have an undercover golf cart unit! Are there going to be places along the route to plug in and recharge for a fee? Golf cart parking meters? Golf cart service stations along the route? Little golf cart traffic signals?
Does that mean we will have little police golf carts with blue lights and sirens? They can even put a couple officers in an undercover cart dressed as tourists! A golf cart interdiction team complete with a K-9 unit! How bout cart charging stations along the route, plug in and get your windshield cleaned. Little golf cart parking meters. Golf cart car washes. Yeah, I see business booming in St. Marys.
A couple of officers dressed as Keystone Cops - and passed off as exact replicas of SMPD uniforms from 1920 - policing the historic district golf cart traffic in the Toonerville trolley would be just the ticket for tourism.
Hey, they could dress as scare crow cops once a year, too!
