Poll results.
I invite your attention to the St. Marys polls which closed yesterday after being open for six days. Given the ridiculously small sample space and how little we know about some of the candidates and their positions, it is, at best, a snap shot of the leanings of those who have already decided on who they will vote for. The distribution of the votes is such that the polls may in fact fairly accurately reflect those voter's intentions. There is one exception, however. In the Post 6 poll, the two candidates, Weaver and Howell, were consistently no more than 1 vote apart until the very last hour of voting when Howell jumped ahead. Insofar as one can vote multiple times in these polls (unfortunately - though, oddly enough, I, as the publisher, can not- not that I would) that last minute surge seems suspect. I believe that that race is actually a dead heat among already decided voters.
