As a Realtor myself, I am not happy with the letter from the Camden/Charlton Board of Realtors. I am also a tax paying citizen of this county. Impact fees are required in most areas of the country, why not here??? Jay you know I have broke a couple of stories to you. Anno #23, but this reeks from the high heavens. I must say, I agree with another poster about Deb Hase. I know you will not agree, but if you step back and look at the big picture, her tie in with Sea Island is disturbing at best. It is not as bad as last nite's vote, but boarders on the same conflict that Ms. Sears has. I urge you to put friendship aside, and revisit the Hase situation. I will be at the next BOC meeting, they got this one wrong, very wrong.

But where is the proof that Councilwoman Hase has done or plans to do anyhting illegal or unethical in either her capcity as an elected official or a licensed real estate agent? Answer: it does not exist. In the case of Sears, on the other hand, there are multiple cases of flagrant, in-your-face, conflicts of interest as an elected official. My gut feeling is that recordings of all of her phone conversations since she was sworn in would at least be of interest to the State Ethics Commission, if not the DA. This latest deal smacks of a quid pro quo for financial support from developers in her next run for office.
