The purpose of this blog is to provide the author, Jay Moreno, with an outlet to comment upon items of socio-political and socio-economic import in Camden County, Georgia and to generally satisfy a daily compulsion to write.

Hell, Jay, you have acted like a total a--hole as far a Ms. Kearns is concerned. You started the dialogue, she did not. You have been abusive and then cried when she bit back. Haven't you noticed that no one has taken yous side in this? Why don't you just give it a break and salvage a little dignity?
What's the matter Jay, jealous because Kerns gets more press than you on KBAY and in the Tribune? Maybe if you had something worthwhile to contribute to the community, you would too.
I finally got a chance to meet Alex Kearns today in the Wal Mart parking lot, of all places. When I first heard the name, I thought that Alex was a man. Then figured out by your writing that Alex was a woman. From your description, I pictured her as large, quite ugly, not too feminine, loud, and strident. Imagine my surprise when she turned out to be small, attractive, quiet, very rational and very pleasant. We discussed the harm from plastic shopping bags to the earth and she quickly convinced me to use the cloth bags she was giving away. It appears that your characterization of Alex is very off base.
I did not agree totally with her opinion and we disagreed pleasantly and with good humor. She is passionate in her beliefs but I find that admirable. It appears to me that your problem with her is that you do not stop to listen to her before you hasten to condemn.
Really. I would like to know what you pleasantly disagreed about during your chance first meeting.
If you are a conservative, oif you will read her blog (see my list of links) from begining to end, you will see what I knew instinctively as soon as I knew she was an environmental activist: she is a hard-core, anti-American policy, radical leftist - and a nauseatingly narcissistic and exhibitionistic and vicious-when-not-adored one to boot.
Not a chance. You have no reason to be privy to our discussion. I simply gave you my opinion of a person that I found to be pleasant and reasonable even though I am not in total agreement with her views. I would not presume to judge someone as a radical anti-American, etc. based solely on my instinct and the fact she is an environmental activist as you say you did.
Bingo! I knew damned well that that question would smoke you out, liar! At best, you were not there and no such conversation took place; at worst, you ARE Joan of Snark.
I don't know who you are talking to here, but you're losing the argument again. I know that you aspire to be an intellectual but you need to learn to debate like something more that a second grader. Just screaming "liar, liar" and making really stupid statements or calling your adversary names will win for you. Just try to make an intelligent point once in a while.

Disagree with any of her positions and see how lovely Joan of Snark is.

Wrong again. It makes me wonder if you are ever right about anything.
The truth, of course, is that you are profoundly chagrinned at how very, very often I am right.
Jay,

I already knew it was a winning strategy but thanks for the affirmation. You're obviously quite the intellectual yourself.
