It ain't "dirt" when it's true, Bozo!

The mercifully infrequently heard from idiot proprietor of "Suppot Our Sheriff" has apparently returned from another secret mission abroad. He puts this question to candidate Rich Gamble: "3. Unlike the current race for the presidency can we expect the campaign for sheriff to be ran clean or have a return of the dirt throwing of the last race for sheriff?" Can anyone point out to me one single, solitary accusation of mis or malfeasance alledged against Bill Smith last go round by Mr. Gamble which subsequent, well-documented revelations - most notably by Gordon Jackson - have not proven to be demonstrably true? I dare say that subsequnt events have proven that Mr. Gamble barely revealed the tip of the iceberg that is going to sink BTW.

Smith should give Judge Blitch a call. I heard that the same "political corruption" team is handling both cases.

Jay,

Did you see the article in the GTU yesterday about the voting record of our local State Representative? Do you know if she is up for re-election this term? Curious as to why they reported such a targeted article about her.

In reference to Rich Gamble. I have found here in Camden if you tell the truth, it's considered mudslinging. Rich Gamble told the truth, if the voters had listen to what he was saying we probably could have saved ourselves alot of embarassment about the current antics of the Sheriff.

Keep up the good fight of faith, Rich.

No, I missed that. I was zipping theu the GTU to get on some pressing school work, but I can imagine.

Yeah, shooting the messenger seems to be one of the favorite defensive tactics of the indigenous scalawags.

Charlie Smith needs to be tarred and feathered in the middle of Charlie Smith Sr Drive.

First he takes the head off the Warren Bailey estate (TDS), then he tries to persuade voters to plan for the LandMar clean-up, now he wants voters to pay 30 to 40 million dollars to create a new airport in Woodbine for Sea Island. Not to mention that he also represents the 4 billion dollar development going up near the "new" airport.

Thats a whole lot of double dipping don't you think Charlie. If you can pull this coup off you will probably be decorated by the developers.

Here's a story I picked up in your neck of the woods in Savannah.....
Georgia Ag dept. locks pumps at Camden stations

The Georgia Department of Agriculture have locked all fuel pumps at three Camden County gas stations because the owners missed their first penalty payment.

The stations are Cisco Travel Plazas at Exit 1 and Exit 6 on Interstate 95, and the Cisco Express station also at Exit 6 in Kingsland.

In February, it was discovered that pumps at the stations were shorting customers by not delivering enough gasoline. The stations were allowed to re-open after the owner of the stations, Global Energy USA LLC, agreed to pay $500,000 of which $250,000 would be suspended if there are no more problems at the stations.

Here's a thought: I spent $60.00 in response to someone on here requesting a filth-free forum.

So far, it's a total bust.

It seems to me that the future of the air port might be a good topic for a thread. Any takers?

Bob_Bob,

If I'm not mistaken the GTU and the Savannah Morning News are owned by the same folks.

They share regional stories quite often.
