Just for the record.....
In the last 24 hours or so, I've had to reject about a half-dozen comments that attacked Councilwoman Hase using, among them, a combination of unsubstantiated charges of accepting bribes, being of questionable parentage, and innuendos of marital infidelity - some of it, incredibly, involving me! Notice to lying, cowardly, anonymous miscreants: save your time and electrons. There is not a ghost of a chance in hell of my printing such false trash about an enemy, much less a friend.

Other than what Mrs.Hase said were there any examples (or evidence) of what Mr. Bird wa accused of. Make no mistake I dont care for either one of them (something against the elected I suppose). I am simply saying what is good for the goose....
Based upon my personal observations of Mrs. Hase' performance as both a St. Marys employee, mayor, and councilwpman for fully fifteen of my sixteen years in St. Marys and based upon my observations of Mr. Bird's persona aqnd actions for the several years I've been aware of him, I can only conclude that it is far more likely that Mrs. Hase is telling the truth in this instance.
The man asked for EVIDENCE, not your personal opinion. Do you or Ms. Hase or anyone have any evidence that Mr. Brd did what Ms. Hase accused him of doing? If not, we are only discussing an unproven accusation.
Based upon the prponderance of the evidence presented after the fact, I believe that O.J. Murdered Nicole Brown and Goldman. The after the fact evidence in this case has been presented by Bird himself in the form of his actions vis-a-vis airport relocation.
Given the evidence, I find Mrs. Hase' statement far more believable than Mr. Bird's denial.
So neither you or Hase has any evidence.

So, now you vicious, lying, libeling, anonympous, cowardly thugs, tell me: do you have a scintilla of evidence that Deborah Hase, acting as Mayor Hase or Councilwoman Hase, has EVER done, or has plans to do, ANYTHING, immoral, illegal, or unethical regarding the propsed new airport or, for that matter, anything whatsoever while in public office. Let's hear it!

Oh Jay. Temper, temper. You are coming across as losing it. Hase is on the hot seat and you can't stop the train wreck. You have hitched to a real loser. Any one with half a brain can see through this latest crazy attack of Hase. I will say one thing. When you line up with a loser you hang on. On this issue you are on the losing train.

I get your point. Whereas I have no fool proof way of knowing for an ironclad certainty who is telling the truth, based upon my observations and usually highly reliable sense of such things, my money is on the veracity of Councilwoman Hase in this matter.
I have known Hase for as many years as she has been here and far longer than you have been here. I knew her well when she first started working at City Hall. She has always been an unjusfide problem every where she has been. Lying is just one of her bad traits. You are really off base on this gal. She has you fooled and the association just creates a problem for your credibilty. You are really out of it on this woman. There are just to many of us who see her for what she is. shrew in every sense of the word. She is the scolding woman of the county. Not some one you would want to have any association with unless you are dumb and may be stupid. That would be the only excuses.

I've known her since early 1994 when she was the city purchasing agent. Her whistleblowing is largley resposnsible for putting an end to the petty corruption that was rampant in the days of (Mayor)Jerry (Brandon) and the Pirates, not only in the mayors office and on council, but in the SMPD, from the top down.
I've never known her to be anything but truthful.
She is a woman with figurative cajones who can hold her own in a pissing contest. That is why many, including, I suspect, you, don't like her.
The fact that she constantly voids pubic policy is the only contention I have with Hase. She appears to be in the pocket of Sea Island. That is not good for the rest of us.
Assuming you are not referring to a bodily function, please explain how Councilwoman Hase, with her one vote, single handedly, "voids" public policy. Could you give us one concrete, verifiable example of a public policy she has "voided?"
