The purpose of this blog is to provide the author, Jay Moreno, with an outlet to comment upon items of socio-political and socio-economic import in Camden County, Georgia and to generally satisfy a daily compulsion to write.
HISTORIC WATERFRONT, ST. MARYS, GA.
How can you NOT see the conflict of interest with this guy?
Why would any City official recommend him for a post when he has deceived the taxpayers of the city by operating a business from his home WITHOUT a occupational tax license.
A. He no longer operates said business from his home.
B. He states that he never actually did operate a business from his home without a license.
C. He actually has an aviation background.
D. He's never sued the city.
E. The pro-airport-move majority on council is well within their rights to appoint folks who are not strident and litigios oppnents of the move . Get over it.
Now that you have removed the ambiguity, lrt me say that you need to pay closer attention. My position is now - and has always been - that the current utilization of the airport land is a sop to a few pilots at the expense of the city as a whole ( to the tune of approximately a half-a-million dollars of kand value per pilot.) My main goal is to se it closed down, sold, and returned to the tax rolls as a prme peice of real state developed to its highest and best use.
I could not care less if we go with no aiport whatsoever for the next century. The Jax airport serves the needs of the citizenry -and any future businesses just fine - and at no cost to local taxpayers.
Fear not: I'm sure you can find some other equally satisfying reason to feed your irrational hatred at the polls.

In only 2 days, I've gone from total obscurity to being a dissident and now a crony. I hope I can keep the fame and notoriety from going to my head.

Your determination to support this is what will hinder your success as a candidate.
"This" being what, specifically?
"This" being the airport relocation.
