Bill Smith for county commissioner?
Someone on TOPIX is floating a trial balloon in which they claim that Bill Smith is contemplating running for the county commission seat now held by District 2 Commissioner Katherine "Nisi" Zell. What are your thoughts on the possibility of a Camden County Commission composed of
Steve Berry, Sandy Feller, Charlene Sears, David Rainer and Bill Smith?

Sunday, 2/15/@1322 HRS. I wondered how long it would take the usual Thuggie suspects to discover the poll and start queering the results in favor of Smith. Honest readers should know that before they did, there were no votes for Smith and 2 out of three were expressing a preference for a third, qualified candidate.

sears even though i think she has improved after leaving ccso.
sandy would do fine but needs to make sure he is up to it health.
bill would only have an axe to grind.

So, the facts that Sandy hates Steve Berry's guts - and vice versa - and Bill Smith hates Steve Berry would not present any problems?
I don't think BTW will ever get elected again as a commissioner. Berry is good for the taxpayers since he is so outspoken, even if we don't like him, Rainer is a waste of air. Sears needs to go since we know she can be bought. Sandy has Very Good Points and is very smart with politics, but people seem to ignore him. I Like him and his views.
AND I really think you(JAY) would be GREAT for the Tax payers as a commissioner. We need people like you Sandy and Berry in there.
I don't think that Smith will run much of a campaign from prison.
Feller's only shot at being elected would be to run for the senile old goat of district 4. Anyone that thinks that Feller should be in office should go find that TV12 footage of Smith yelling at Feller like he was a child at the jetski "showdown" and then remember that Feller supported Smith last year. Sad, very sad.
Bill Smith? as a County Commisioner? Boy, what a joke!! After the stunts he pulled as sherriff? Well...all I can say is, after the last year, the people of Camden County who votes for him deserves everything they get!!
Bill Smith was a Commissioner before he ran for Sheriff and the only reason he wanted to be a Commissioner was so that he could harass Jimmy Middleton who was Sheriff at the time. However, it backfired on him because Jimmy Middleton took nothing off Bill Smith and would tell him so in front of anyone who happened to be around. If Bill runs for Commissioner, the only reason will be to see how bad he can hurt Sheriff Gregory by voting against anything Gregory wants and needs. Bill Smith is a very vindictive person, always has been and always will be. Anyone that would vote for Bill Smith would have to a relative or girlfriend.
I think Bill could probably pull it off. He lives in the Harietts Bluff area. I would NOT vote for Sandy Feller if he was the only one running, besides the guy is 75 years old and would be 80 at the end of his term.
We need a fresh prospective on the County Commission. I live in District 4 and of all the ones mention I would vote for Jay. But if the fix is in I don't think Rainer and Smith will allow Jay to win, even if he wins.
That sounds ominous. Are we talking post-election assassination, or what?
