A more permanent solution would be to send a team in with .22 rifles and eliminate the feral cat population. Feral cats kill hundreds of birds and also carry rabies. Also, what is so attractive about a festering cat carcass steaming in the middle of a roadway. They are not indigenous to the island or anywhere else locally. Are we going to allow dogs to run rampant too? All we have to do is spay and nueter! A feral cat will bite just as quick and hard as a feral dog will! How many restaurants in town have 20-30 cats sitting aroud waiting to be fed a certain times of the day or night? They are a nuisance and should be gotten rid of instead of CATeringto them!
