Keeping it honest.

I posted this moments ago on Sandy Feller's blog. Sandy, I'm sure that you would not want to knowingly leave your readers with the false impression that Tommy Gregory is delinquent with the filing of his report of campaign contributions and expenditures. What you apparently failed to take in to account -assuming that you believe that today was the deadline - is that Friday, being the 4th of July holiday, did not count as one of the five days in the five day grace period. The official deadline is tomorrow, July 8th, at 5:00 PM. I just got off the phone with our next sheriff, Tommy Gregory. He plans to deliver the report, in both the digital format required by law, as well as a hard copy, to the office of Judge Martin Gillette NLT 1:00 PM tomorrow. His stated reason for waiting to the last minute was quite revealing. He stated that the sheriff has a nasty habit of snatching up the report, then angrily confronting his opponents' major contributors and demanding at least a matching contribution to him. He did that last go round with Gamble contributors. Tommy is simply trying to protect his contributors until the last moment. Note: late tomorrow, I will obtain copies of the reports of all candidates who have filed and report them to you tomorrow evening. I note from Sandy Feller's site ( http://www.camdenganews.com/blog/ ) that nearly $7,000 of Smith's collected funds remain on hand. I can tell you where that's going to be spent. If you are a registered voter, watch your mail box Saturday for an utterly scurrilous letter from Smith filled with the most outrageous outright lies and innuendos about Tommy Gregory. Don't be surprised if he even gets in a few licks at Steve Berry while he's at it. Just consider the source. 1854 HRS. As you will see, the deperate Thuggie bastards are now grasping at any straw they can. not head Kingsland, GA Reply » Report Abuse Judge it! #2 18 min ago It does not look good for Gregory not filing his expenditure with the court. That could be interpreted negatively as to whom his supporters are.

Open Letter to Sandy Feller,

Sandy, I will post this on Jay’s blog because I don’t think you will let it be posted on your’s. Why the 180 degree turn around from you?? Sheriff Bill Smith was instrumental in getting you voted out of office. You yourself even cried foul when he had CCSO cars parked with lights on directing people to your voting precinct. You and Steve Berry voted 99% of the time on the same side against the Terrible Troika. (SP) Now you are throwing him under the bus, and supporting the same person that rode you out of office?? What gives?? You posted on your Blog the dollar amounts that the candidates who have file their financials to this point. I bet when Tommy posts his, you will point out every individual who supports Tommy. Have you financially supported Carla Carper?? If so post how much, if no let us know. You have no political clout left in the county, so why don’t you just unplug your computer and head back to New York. I look forward to your response to my post. Please do better than thank you for your comments and have a great Camden Day. Grow a pair and tell us why you support Sheriff Smith. It takes a mental midget to read the asset funds and compare them to what is legal. We all know that Sheriff Smith has spent money illegally, and you do as well. Just fess up that you are mad you lost to the Sheriff’s hand chosen candidate, and you are supporting another one. Do you really want Bill Smith running the county??? Please answer, I think many of us want to know your motivations.

Jay, are you privy to this Breaking News about some charges being dropped on the Sheriff that Sandy is referring to on his blog?
Said he would confirm as soon as he got the paper showing it was true? Just wondering?

No, I haven't heard a word of any such news through my sources - which are pretty good.

Saw in the paper this morning where Amanda Williams "ordered" Bill Smith to testify at the hearing Thursday.. What do you want to bet...His first words are going to be "I don't know"?

Yeah, and then the Thuggie mouthpieces would immediately point out how that was a major departure from "no comment" and proof positive that a repentant Bill Smith is changing his ways!
