After a raid on his office, SMPD says Blount "definitively excluded " as a suspect.

Blount further maintains that Stan Smith is totally innocent as well.

I don't buy it. How can Blount maintain Smith's innocence? The man was seen coming and going from the house and everyone in town knows S to be into questionable things. B's defense of S makes me doubt his innocence as well. So the police say he isn't involved, Oj was acquitted too! Do I even bother watching how this circus will end or take a rain check, cause I'm betting the good ole boys got it all under control. It's a shame.

I don't think the fat lady has even begun to warm up on this one.

Follow the time line,The fourth st house was raided, it took two days before the Blount house had a warrant to be searched. Now it takes almost two weeks before they search his office. he could have had time to burn all the evidence up in that time span. Cover up? Good ol'd boys working at their best. It will be a cold case in a few months, and dead docket file rules again.

I'm just glad that the GBI is involved. By the way, Stan Smith happens to be close friends with Bob Ward (who is accused of murdering his wife just prior to her deposition) and Glenn Saare. Smith and Saare ran the board at Cumberland Harbour until they were fired. I'm sure they DA's office will work a deal with someone who will sing like a canary. Stay tuned!

Yes, my guess is that once arrests are made, certain parties will be racing against each other to see who can turn state's witness first and get the best deal.

Stay tuned, indeed.

Like usual the term "Good ol' Boy" is getting thrown around like crazy. If it was a investigation in Kingsland or the County then its possible, but not St.Marys. Hatch is about far as its gets for being a G.O.B. as its gets. Heck he doesn't even think beer and fishing go together, hardly the thought process of required to be a member of the G.O.B (Camden Countys Oldest Political Party).

Meanwhile...where is the Blount house tenant? We are not hearing anything about him. Have the police found him or know where he is or have they questioned him? They must have looked at the records for the rental receipts and deposits on that house.

Did I read somewhere that there were 3 houses and not two involved in this mess? I also heard that Smith & Blount have both been seen together out in public with another of our County Commishs. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I have not heard anything about a third pot grow house but the other commissioner is Jimmy Starline.

Stan and Gary were seen having a long lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Starline at OPS the day after the generator fire and hours before the search warant was exercised on 4th St.

Just read the T&G. I see where there is indeed a third housed involved on McIntosh Dr. in Sugarmill. It would appear that that might be where one of the renters - now named - actually lived.

The lowboy driver Robbie lives (or Did) in SugarMill but I don't know if it is McIntosh Dr.

Well, it appears that Mr. Blount is cooperating with the police and is not considered to be a person of interest in the investigation. Looks like you were wrong again.recial

Robbie is an excellent driver, a good all-around heavy equipment operator, and a 100% reliable, hard worker.

I sure hope he is not involved.

Time will tell. Wait until the arrested start making deals.

They should not be able to make any deals. It was in their houses and EVERYONE knows that Gary and Stan are connected at the hip. They will let everything fall on an employee of Stans. While everyone knows that there are more Big players involved that will walk free. Same ole Crooked Politics in Camden County. The St. Marys police have drug their feet to give the big boys time to clean house, everyone can see that. And if you have been in Camden County long enough, you know how they play their game. In my opinion Gary Blount is right there at the top, he is telling everything he knows so he can walk free. Sad days are coming in Camden County with him going in as a commissioner. IT SUCKS!

I heard that Smith's company had downsized to just a hand full of employees. I wonder how many are involved.

Maybe we can one day do what the new board did at Cumberland Harbour and clean out the filth in the city government. They got the community together and removed Bob Ward's henchman (Stan Smith and Osama Glenn Saare)from control of the community. The citizens of St Marys will eventually reach a point, where we've had enough and do the same thing.

Have they announced who the owner of the third house on McIntosh Drive is?

Jay Moreno said...

Not so far as I know.

Jay you have repeatedly announced the arrest and prosecution of Sheriff Bill Smith and now Blount and Stan. Will they get the same prison time as Bill Smith?
