What makes you think it is Kingsland. I am Glad to see Kingsland stand up against the commissioners. If you knew the history you would know it is the Commissioners. They have ALWAYS given Moreland Altabelli ALL the contracts reguardless of what the cost is. This goes way back, do some research and you will find out. Ask some of the high paying employees at the county that use to work for Moreland Altobelli.

If you know that there are "high paying" (sic)employees at the county who used to work for them, name names and tell us why they would rather work for the county than Moreland-Altobelli?

What exactly are you alledging?

Why is the mayor REALLY bucking the county on so trivial an issue?

Jay you're so full of SHIT!!!!! You always back the wrong decision based on who making to point.

David Rainer has been stealing via this contractor for many years. He has a family member that is employed by them. He wants them to get EVERY contract that comes through so that he and his GOB mob can continue with the kickbacks.

Mayor Smith is correct!! I'm pleased that he is standing up bor the best interest of Kingsland. Why should the taxpayers pay $500,000.00 more just because David Rainer says so.

If you are telling the truth, then surely you must know the name of the relative. Who is it?

There are times when living in north Camden County is a blessing. The south Camden politics are about as nasty as you can get. Does anyone care about construction funding for this critical hurricane evacuation route. All this fuss about the design project. When was the last time Kimley-Horn went to Washington and got multi-millions for a project in Camden?
Do the initials RC ring a bell with you folks in south Camden?

Not really, so just tell is who that is, please!

RC is Robbie Cheek and he is the owner of P and A Engineering. He has his panties in a wad becuase he chose the wrong team to partner with. Moreland Altobelli has already secured state earmarks to insure that all design for this project will be at no cost to the county. Lets see Kimley Horne do that. Moreland has been a friend to this county for decades and has helped us in ways that you cannot imagine. There are many roads that are paved in Camden that would still be dirt if we did not have friends in Atlanta like Tom Moreland.

I'm with you. I've never heard anything but high praise for all work that Moreland -Altobelli has done in this county.

The cheapest is not often also the best choice on a project of that size. The low bidder will often bite you in the ass with "cost overruns."

Moreland has been good to Camden County BUT Camden County has been even more generous to Moreland. Dover Bluff man is probably the ex-candidate against Keene, whom stood to have great gains if he had been elected, by Moreland.

Camden County is soooo generous that most of the folks that retired from the Georgia DOT retired here because of whats to come, based on seeds (cough, cough) they have planted in current elected officials.

I just happened on this old topic. Not to dig up old stuff since last weeks issue is old news today., Someone needs to ask what Mr. Cheek has done for this county over the years at no cost and how much his firm charges to do county road design as compared to Moreland. And, how much has Moreland done locally to support the community. And, dover bluff man is not the former losing candidate against Chip Keene. He's not smart enough to put a clear paragraph together. Forgive my poor sentence stucture.
