Congrats, 'Cats: 2008 AAAAA State Champions!

Camden wins it 21 to 14 in a a real slug fest between two great defenses. For my money, these annual high school playoffs are some of the best football on T.V.

What about the players? I understand Coach Herron receive big fat bonus, all the coaches can put the golden nugget of a State Championship on their resumes, the school system made massive amounts on ticket sales, but what about the kids.

Well, they got lifetime memories of what for some will (unfortunately) be the most success and "fame" they will ever enjoy in their entire lives.

Some will go straight from graduation to drug sales in North Kingsland and thence to the state pen. That has been a pattern in the past - especially for one well known and athletically gifted family.

A few - including one from said family - will go on to convert their HS football prowess to football scholarships and successful lives.

While I'm gld for the Widlcats, I'm sorry to learn that the opposing players were evil and had fallen out of favor with God.

well, if in fact God decided the outcome of the game, is that not the only logical conclusion as to the basis of God's decision to give it to CCHS over Peachtree?
