To begin with, Tommy did not fire any body BEFORE Christmas, the termination letters are effective January 4, 2009. Secondly, BTW fired 12 people to make room for his Ol' Mill buddies. Number 13 was Verdell Griffin, who I understand has a very serious illness and could not obtain any insurance, and was rehired almost immediately. Mr. Westerfield knows not of what he speaks. The people who recieved a termination notice were considered a detrement to the department already. Tommy doesn't need to evaluate their perfomance and see how they would benefit him. He already knows what a detrement they are. Tommy made the right move. I think Tommy is doing just fine. He knows what has to be done.
