Ol' Lou "The Mouthpiece" Eyerly turns out to be another sour grapes Thuggie.

Really no surprise here. Lou has always delighted in being a sycophantic, apologist and mouthpiece for every no-count, corrupt, mis and malfeasant elected official in the county. Witness his myriad T&G apologias for the Brandon regime in years past. He and "Church Lady" Wall seem to have the same sycophantic affliction. http://www.tribune-georgian.com/articles/2008/12/24/opinion/letters/07letter12.24.txt

Mr. Eyerly, I was one of those 13 people, 4 years ago when your Hero; Bill Smith, fired us, so that he could hire HIS MILL BUDDIES. He had to make room on the roster, so he fired 13 Senior officers to make room for 14 or 15 brand new junior, untrained officers. Then he used assets to train them and place them where he could USE them the most OR easiest. Bill Smith did the same thing back then, that everyone is so upset about now. the only difference was, it happened January 06, instead of the advance warning these people got. We did not get any warning, instead we were blindsided and called in one or two at a time while Charlie handed out the pink slips. Darryl Griffis and Chuck Byerly stood by in the office as body guards for Charlie, who by the way was heard Whooping it up in between firings. Tommy is cleaning house per his campaign promises, he knows where the problems/ loyalties lie. Everyone is in such a roar over these people being fired just before Christmas, the letters aren't effective until January 04, 2009. We all had families and bills to pay also, where was the support and grieveing back then. You; Mr. Eyerly can kiss my backside!

to the second anonymous:
if you see bill ask him did 7 of us cornered him in aunt bees while he was eating and told him that was
unfair what durango did but it was 10 times worse the way he did ya.
but no we dont believe in writing letters ans bull just make an ass you who did it.
but the comment of charlie needing body gaurds of dyrryl and chuck would be like saying jimmy middilton calling bill smith and butch kennedy to protect him.
just the way tommy did it is also wrong.
this is just for food for thought what if one of the 27 that was fired because of what tommy has heard is better at their position than you were in 06.. is that fair to them and does 2 wrongs make a right.
all im saying is i think tommy should of worked with these people until he seen their performance..
even in your statement only difference is the time given...

merry christmas to all

Ditto from Anonymous#2's Wife Mr. Eyerly.

Everyone is entitled to a opinion. Mr. Eyerly just put his in writing.

My opinion is what Bill did then is equally as bad as what Tommy is doing now. I agree alot of the people that Tommy terminated needed it. But what I don't agree with, he is replacing these people with the people who were fired by Bill. Seems to me he is doing the same thing Bill did.

As for the mill workers being fired. I don't believe many of the mill workers names are on that list. Dyals certainly leaves alot to be desired. His main duties included feeding the hogs. But amazingly enough his name is not on the list.

Therefore, it appears that its politics as usual.....

apparently, spome of you folks are not up to speed. Let's hope that's what it is. The alternative is being eat up with the dumb ass.

Yes, the thirteen were fired to hire Bill's old buddies from the mill. But why that particualr 13. Was it because they were poorly performing, dishonest dirtbags? Absolutely not. They were chosen based upon Bill Smith certain knowledge or stromng suspicion that they had voted for Rich Gamble in the sheriff's race.

Now, as to the absured assertion (yes, SP, I know it's you - your semi-literacy and inability to locate the shift key gives you away where ever you post your nonsense)that Tommy should have waited to fire the 27 until he had had a chance to evaluate their performance. NEWS FLASH, BOZO: So far as I know, Tommy had worked with every one of them for YEARS. Moreover, he had certainly been able to follow their mis-and malfeasance while he was gone from the CCSO.

Thuggies, your hero lost. He will never hold elected office again and will likely go to prison. Accept it and get over it. A new day has dawned in Camden County - and y'all ain't seen nothing yet!

Anonymous #3, you know nothing of what you speak. You weren't there when I got my pick slip unless of course you were Charlie, Chuck or Daryl and I seriously doubt that. The difference between what happened to us is that we didn't get 3 weeks warning. We got no warning. We were called in from home and given our walking papers. Our benefits stopped the close of business on January 4, 2006. The 27 who got notices, have been given time to at least assess their situations and make a game plan. We weren't afforded that courtesy. So don't speak of things you know nothing about. It only serves to make you look like the dumbass that you clearly are.

Actually, some of the 27 should have known this day was coming since this past Summer when the primary election results were announced. They should have had a suspicion that Tommy would be eliminated some of the top personnel and replacing it with his own.

And dumbasses they are. Do you think that Tommy is so naive that he didn't know the "good cops" from the "bad cops"? You people that give comments lamenting over the 27 people that were fired are apparently Bill Smith supporters. Don't you think that Tommy already knew that the 13 he hired was trustworthy? And as far as him being a 1 term sherrif, ya been listening to Smith too much!!
If the Camden County citizens are lucky, Tommy's going to be here a loooong time.
Tommy..you hang in there....I KNOW you're doing the right thing. And thank God for you!! Our prayers have been answered.

I'm sure Tommy has already seen some of the work performances from the 27. THAT'S WHY THEY AIN'T THERE NO MORE!!

jay,I hate to be the one to say it. but if obama thought you voted
for mccain and cut your ss off. you are saying that would be ok.
yes im sure tommy knows these people. i think that is ok but some he did not work with.
a good pole for your site is will crime increase, decrease or stay the same with tommy in office.
the way i see it is they dont care who runs ccso when nothing is done in court. and i wish tommy well as i would have for our new president
dont agree with him on all but have to live with it for 4years until we vote again. if tommy runs it good ill have to reconsider my vote on him then.

jay, i found my intervention 22 years ago at brooks rehab. in jacksonville. its call something else now but you may want to try it got me out of my wheelchair.
and ive worked ever sense

It is still called Brooks and it is still perhaps the finest physical rehab facility in the southeastern United States. I know because i was an inpatient there for seven months after I left neurological intensive care at Shands. That was seven months of intensive physical therapy three hours per day, 6 days per week, and 1 hour on Sundays. That was follwed by over a year of therapy, three days a week, here locally. That was because there have been rare cases of recovery from the severe demyelinating form of Guillain-Barre syndrome - which I suffered - as long as two years after the initial episode. A the end of two years of maximal effort by my neurologist, my therapists, amnd ME, it was determimned that, as had been originally predicted based upon the early conduction tests on my nerves, that I was indeed among the 5% of the severely nerve damaged who will never recover fully. I'm as good as I'll ever get. The good news is that I will not get worse.

Your implication that I am faking my disability is duly noted. Two neurologists, several nerological conduction tests, several therapists, and a "forensic" physical therapist hired by the Workers' Comp carrier to evaluate the legitimacy of my disability, not to mention the Social Security administration, strongly disagree with you. W/C carriers do not make large cash settlements with melinguerers.

I'm glad that you regained your mobility. If you have irreversible traumatic brain damage from a trauma which landed you in Brooks which drugs can not help, you have my sympathy.

At any rate, you are clearly not quite right. If you are who I'm fairly certain you are, I well remember the night you called my house and I finally had to cuss you out and hang up on you. As you know, Sandy has had a similar experience with you.

Do not ever call me again and do not bother sending comments to this blog. They will not be published. Seriously, you need help.

jay, mine was from an A.V. MALFORMATION that called for dr.monterio and dr. hawkins to remove the right side of brain so no drugs will help.
back then it was memorial rehab center i was there 18 mo.inpatient
with speech,plysical they were great
but i wish tommy no ill will and i hope he turns it around but i dont think he will do any better or worse bill trained him.
i just dont think it helps the county everybody bashing bill at this time we as a county need to forget about him and let da or feds. do their jobs an we move on.
but in 06 myself and jimmy middleton told bill he did them 13 shitty and he was wrong for doing it and it will come back to bite his ass and it did. same with tommy i think it will comeback to bite him. its just what i think.

Sorry to learn of your arteriovenous malformation and subsequent craniotomy. All things considered, that you write as well as you do is quite remarkable.

Nonetheless, your logic sometimes falls a little short.

Perhaps if, like me, you were one of the hundreds of people in this county who have been victims of Bill Smith's abuses of power to persecute political critics and "enemies" by violating their Constitutional rights under color of law, you too would have an abiding enmity of the no-good S.O.B.

jay i can see where you feel the way you do but i have my reasons also of feeling the way i do but it
is in the past. and i try to stay away from what people call the camden hilton.
and honest i think we can sit down
have lunch and have an conversation to see both sides.
im more open for that than on a pc.
tommy is welcome to come ill buy.

I'm always up for a reason to eat at Aunt B's. I'm thinking Tommy might be a tad too busy at the moment, but, Tommy, if you are reading this, and would like to join us, let me know.
