A rare, post-election sighting of BTW.

Today, at 1430 hrs, as I was heading to the register at Lowes, I spotted a markedly aged and haggard looking Bill Smith. As soon as he saw me coming, he averted his eyes and dashed off down one of the paint section aisles. That's a stark contrast to the last time I saw him - or, more accurately, he saw me - in Judge Amanda Williams' courtroom the day Jim Stein schooled her and Big Thug Willie on the Georgia Open Records Act. On that occassion, Big Thug sneaked up behind me, then bellowed across the courtroom for all to hear, "Hey, Jay - how's it going. I've been reading all those things you've been writing about me. Thanks a lot! It's really helping my campaign." My, how things have changed.

BTW - the biggest pile of crap in the history of Camden County.

I agree with you Jay, the last time I saw him was a couple of months ago. (post election) He looked like a shell of his old self. He looked old and whooped. Not pleasant sight.

What hell do you guys expect. Smith got a public enema in the paper more times than any elected official in the history of Georgia.
He just screwed with the wrong bunch. Two news guys and a wild lawyer, who warned him. He just jumped into a fight that he was doomed to lose and lose he did. They set him up like one of those cuppie dolls at a fair to be knocked on his buttocks. It was a "Bad Moon Rising."

How do you define "new guys" and who were the two "new guys?"

The lawyer was, of course, Jim Stein. Hopefully, someone will erect a statue of Jim on the courthouse lawn.

Folks, I started to delete that last one, but I wanted a chance to comment on it and let y'all comment as well.

I do not agree witht the statement that all cops are crooked. It is patently hyperbolic and absurd.
Are a larger percentage than the public realizes crooked? Probably.

Were a way higher than usual number in the employ of BTW crooked and/or totally dismissive, if not actively abusive, of the civil rights of the citizens they were sworn to protect? ABSOLUTELY.
Will it be "busines as usual" under Sheriff Gregory? No way in hell.

RE: "News guys."

While your comment in no way actually conveyed your meaning, I, of course, was able to discern it anyway.

Upon re-reading the comment in question, you are correct. I misread "news guys" as "new guys."
