The latest dire predictions from "Bob the shrewish Canadian Builder."

Bob the Builder Reply » |Report Abuse |Judge it! |#17 8 hrs ago Judged: 1 Ms Hase, Mr DeLoughy, Mr Trader, Mr Post, Mr Morrissey and others are well aware of the obvious fact that the airport relocation proposal is doomed to fail (and if they aren't then they must be either incapable of reading the documents presented to them or blinded by their own single-minded agenda). I would think that they must crave a way out of the debacle at this point. The incoming council was elected through a stacked-deck process based on a single issue - the airport. They're beginning to understand that this is a council that does not represent the will of the people; that was simply a product of blatant electioneering and misinformation (nod to Hase and Trader's last minute "Urgent Message" email blanket that warned of everything from the loss of the Riverine Squadrons to incurring the wrath of the Navy - both of which have been proven facile at best and outright manipulation at worst.) But in the end we have only our own citizens to blame - the appallingly low voter turn-out and the gullibility of those who fell for the clumsy propaganda. (DeLoughy still wins the Flip-flop prize for his condemnation of the EarthKeepers for releasing public documents regarding the documented environmental devastation of Site 1, then using the same group on his campaign website and then saying that "litter" was the primary issue confronting St. Marys). Given that this election was based on falsehoods, split votes and the most obscene level of obfuscation I have ever witnessed, I would support a run-off no matter what the cost - for make no mistake: a city run by a council that represents only a few (and is born of lies and animosity) is toxic and will, ultimately, result in irreparable harm to us all.
