St. Marys' pernicious class envy makes front page.

http://jacksonville.com/news/georgia/2009-11-22/story/some_in_st_marys_push_for_new_election_format If we are going to legislate any changes, then let's do it all and do it right. Firstly, let's seek approval for 6, well defined districts with roughly equal populations - based upon NUMBERS of residents ONLY - not relative wealth, race, downtown business interests, etc. Only residents of that district could run for that district seat and only residents of that district could vote for them. Secondly, go back to majority voting with run offs. Update @ 4:07 PM: Check out would-be proletarian Field Marshal Kingfish Feller's take on the latest "battle" in the local class wars. http://www.camdenganews.com/blog/

Deloughy is full of shit!! He knows full well that after George Scott lose the election against David Rainer the Osprey Coveites restructured to create a voting block.

I'm glad the election laws are being challenged by Jim Stein. I also agree whole heartedly with Ed Clary. They (elected of St. Marys) should do the right thing on their own instead of dragging the City into yet another unneccessary lawsuit.

Bill ask Charlie if its okay for you to do the right thing.....

That's really quite fascinating. No - I mean it.

Perhaps you would be so kind as to tell as exactly what they "restructured" to create a "voting block" and how they did it. Oh, and while you're at it, who are "they?"

By the way, I don't beleive that there was an orchestrated effort in Osprey Cove to bloc vote but if that is what it will take to finally put Mr. Rainer into full and permanent retirement, I would be all for it.
