T&G reports that Commissioner Sears has suffered an attack of "ethics." Reportedly resting comfortably at home.

“There was no question
about the majority of the
residents’ perspective on
this. Every time I went to
the grocery store, or anywhere
really, people would
come up to me to say that
they wanted me to vote to
not suspend the fees,” Sears
said. “Each conversation,
each e-mail, letter and comment
that I got, I weighed
each of them equally and at
the end, when I examined
the number of voices from
each side, I couldn’t ethically
vote for suspending
fees." (Charlene Sears)

I commend Ms. Sears. At least she listened to her constituents and voted accordingly. That is a lot more than some of our elected officials seem to be capable of.

Are you truly oblivious to the fact that the whole scheme originated with her or are you just so smitten with her that she can do no wrong?

Where were her ethics attacks when she routinely refused to recuse herself from voting on matters related to the CCSO budget when she was employed there?

Ethics are tricky.

Here's a story you might like. What a plethora of candidates for governor we Georgians have.

Jay, you are exactly right. She has shown consistently that she has absolutely no ethics. She is trying to re-write history so she can attempt to run again.

She needs to be kicked to the curb.

Now did I ever say that she could do no wrong? I simply commented that I commend her for changing her mind and her vote after listening to the opinion of the voters. That is a good thing. Too many of our pols refuse to listen and refuse to change their mind, even when they are proven wrong.

Apparently, you still just don't get it. Are you familiar with the American expression "She got caught with her hand in the cookie jar?"

I read exceedingly well. What in the hell has she done that she should be commended for.

If a criminal has just assualted an old an wiht a ball bat and cop draw down on him and says "Drop it or I'll shoot," and he does drop it, she he then be commended for it.

The voters were cocked and locked, you idiot. She had no choice.
