City of St. Marys political year to kick-off tomorrow at 5:00 PM.

Note: During regular council meeting at 6:00, there will be a public hearing on plurality vs. majority voting. Also, "No conflict" Bird will pooh pooh new airport. http://www.ci.st-marys.ga.us/agendas/2010/1%2011%2010%20City%20Council%20Agenda.pdf Correction: I just got an e-mail from Councilwoman Hase. She pointed out the actual wording of item A under Old Business. "To schedule a public hearing for input from the community regarding plurality and majority voting." But it is still listed as a public hearing? Apparently, the public will be invited to comment on when they wouldlike to schedule a public hearing on the matter - orf maybe not. ???

Why in the world you don't see this airport matter as a hig screwing to the tax payers is beyond me. You have your head in the sand on this one. Sea Island Co. is on the block for a partial buy out. There are enviromental studies being conducted. This airport location is just a plum for potential investors. We are being used for the benefit of others.Who is dumb enough to not realize the funding comes from tax payers? We need to be cutting back and using common sense. You are way off on this issue. I think your fascination with Hase has clouded your judgement.

So Hase in other the words the devil is in the detail.

I think the Republican Party believes this is the hearing regarding a vote. Why else would they pay for ad space in the T&G.

Yes,I believe you're right. Why in the hell would you have a hearing on having a hearing?

Maybe because one of our council members, last year, tried to defeat an application for a liquor license by voting to not bring it to public hearing.

No, wrong hearing.

By the way, that guy will be getting his liquor license tonight.
I do believe that that is what the executive session was about at the last meeting.
