Jim Proctor to run for sheriff in 2012 ??

Jim Proctor told us at the Lion Club Friday that he has decided to run. He had been waiting to see what was going to happen with Tommy and said he is going to run. Thank God Jim, we love you and will support you.

This has been the plan since Protor came to work for the CCSO years ago. BTWs father and Jims were best friends. Jim has been the chosen succesor for years. He decided not to run last time due to the backlash he would have gotten fot being part of BTWs chosen few. Look for him to run and win next term. Tommy has been saying in closed circles that he is not running.
If Jim Proctor sends Johnson and Hamilton out the door with Tommy I will go door to door for him.
Does Jim think that all the citizens of Camden will not remember that when inmates were working at the Ponderosa, on Cumberland, in South Carolina, etc etc etc. that he was "the" jailer, the man that took an oath to keep inmates locked up.
Look for him to do nothing as he has not a prayer of getting elected with the baggage he will be toting.
Jim will be lucky if he does not get indicted with the rest of the Bill Smith crew. I like Jim but he messed up. He will never get elected due to things he allowed to happen. He will either be in prison or he will cooperate. The people that busted their asses to keep Smith out of office will do the same to Proctor. I can assure you they don't like him. There brains and media power are far more superior than anything Proctor and the good ole boys can come up with.
Jim had a couple of Boss's that were over him telling him what to do. In order to keep a job you keep your mouth shut and do it. Just like those that are there now are doing. Tommy has baggage too.
None but a bunch of hard-ass Smith haters will remember anything Proctor did. The stain of the inmate work parties will fall on Smith. Proctor is a shoo-in.
