FAA's firm committment to fund 95% of cost of new airport.
Cruising around this morning, I found on, of all places, obstructionist, lefty, environmental whacko, Alex Kearns' blog, an interesting e-mail from the FAA. If you read and parse it calmly and rationally, it shows just how committed the FAA is to funding 95% of the cost of a new airport and how amenable they are to accepting the value of the soon-to-be donated
"Site 1" land in lieu of the city's 2.5% share.

I don't think they will.....
In spite of the fact that they clearly say they will????
When Sea Island goes belly up at the end of the month and their promised land donation gets tied up in bankruptcy court, there won't be a place to put the damn thing. What a bunch of horse pucky this whole thing is.
We'll see.
