FAA's firm committment to fund 95% of cost of new airport.

Cruising around this morning, I found on, of all places, obstructionist, lefty, environmental whacko, Alex Kearns' blog, an interesting e-mail from the FAA. If you read and parse it calmly and rationally, it shows just how committed the FAA is to funding 95% of the cost of a new airport and how amenable they are to accepting the value of the soon-to-be donated "Site 1" land in lieu of the city's 2.5% share. http://www.alexkearns.com/2010/01/st-marys-airport.html

When Sea Island goes belly up at the end of the month and their promised land donation gets tied up in bankruptcy court, there won't be a place to put the damn thing. What a bunch of horse pucky this whole thing is.
