Too bad that all of you who like bashing county employees about their health benefits dont fall under the "public information" rules that they do. It would be nice to see all of your costs for health benefits made public by your employers so we could see who indeed has the right to bitch & complain about county employees. pethrift Since: Jun 08 61 Tifton, GA ....BECAUSE PERHAPS THEN AND ONLY THEN, EVERY LAST COUNTY EMPLOYEE WOULD FINALLY REALIZE (THOUGH IT IS UNLIKELY THEY WOULD CONCEDE IT) WHAT A TRULY GENEROUS AND VERY LOW EMPLOYEE COST HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN THEY HAVE!

I don't begrudge them the oaid holidays. I think the county should be a desireable place of emplyment with good benefits - and it is. The health insurance was riduculously cheap for the employees compared to all comparable plans, however.

I do not agree that we need to balance budgets in the future on the backs of employees (which the heaslth premium adjustment was NOT an example of), especially with regards to COLAS.
