Feller campaign for Camden County Board of Commissioners District 4 seat in incontrovertable violation of state law.

The top document is a true copy of the posting on Mr. Fellers blog, dated 1/13/2010, in which he announces his candidacy and solicits campaign donations.
In order to do so legally, he would have had to first file a form, generally known as a notice of intent to accept donations. The form had to be submitted to the state either through Judge Gillette's Camden County Probate Court or directly to the State Ethics Commission in Atlanta. As you can see from the second document, a true copy of an e-mail I sent to the State Ethics Commission yesterday and received a reply to today, Mr. Feller has failed to submit the form to either location prior to soliciting campaign donations. Ergo, his campaign is now and has been from its inception in clear cut violation of state law. Will I file a formal complaint? No. However, I will point out that Mr. Feller, on numerous occasions, has opined, in writing, that when given a choice between a "political rookie" and an "experienced veteran politician," such as himself, the voter should always opt for the latter. Yet, clearly, this was an egregious rookie error. Hopefully, Mr. Feller will take a tip from MacArthur and "just slowly fade away."

It looks like we don't have a viable candidate to take on Sears yet.

I've heard from multiple serious sources that Sears will very likely not run again.
