St. Marys City Councilman Larry Johnson has "minor" stroke.

According to today's T&G, Councilman Larry Johnson recently suffered a minor stroke and was taken to Shands, Jax. Reportedly, he is recovering nicely with little or no permanent neurological deficit. I'm sure you all join me in wishing him a speedy recovery and "return to duty." Update; Thursday, 1/8, at 0954 HRS. Just heard from Cookie Johnson that Larry is now back home and doing well.

Larry Johnson is probably the most HONEST elected official in Camden County. I wish him a speedy recovery. St. Marys would truly suffer without his presence.

Larry taught me at Valdosta State College on base. The integrity he shows as a councilman is indicative of the person that he is. I wish only the best for Larry and Cookie.

Larry is a credit to his family, community and the council. He is a good man with common sense and a strong sense of morality. He has been a blessing to the taxpayers of St. Marys. May God speed up his recovery.
