Scofflaw Willie uses CCSO website to announce candidacy and to campaign!

Thanks to the reader who alerted me to this. http://www.camdensheriff.org/press_release/details.cfm?id=123 You might as well read Big Thug Willie's self-serving "message," while you're at it. http://www.camdensheriff.org/sheriffs_office/sheriffs_message.cfm Let me guess: Simper Fido took vacation time to write these things, therefor he was not engaged in political activity on the public payroll. Right - and Chuckie Sears is a "simple file clerk." Now, 24 hours later, comes this.... http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/032708/geo_262062694.shtml So, now we know that both BTW and Tommy Gregory will be running as Republicans in the July primary. Gamble, running as an independent, is guaranteed to still be in it in November. Folks, the time to knock Smith out once and forever is in the July primary. Even if you plan on voting for Gamble in November, for gosh sakes, go to the polls help us drive the stake through BTW's heart in July and be done with him. If Smith is gone in July, I see it as a win/win proposition for the county in November.

lets give him a right cross and an uppercut, knock him out in the first few seconds of the first round.

This is going to be a really good fight. Both teams are suiting up. The good thing about this fight is everyone will get an opportunity to see who is on what side.

This has never been done in Camden County politics. Round two hands off. That really says alot....

It is astounding the hog$hit that Smith puts out. The hog farmer must go. Vote his sorry @ss out in July.

Did you happen to read the public release titled Florida man arrested following pursuit? The fifth paragraph. David Douglas - whats Billy providing you? I know you have more sense - or you used to anyway!

I am AMAZED that the T&G printed a story on BTW's announcement not using one of there own reporters. They did last week with Rich Gamble, but this week it is a press release from Sheriff's offer writing the story. Talk about no editorial oversite. No wonder Jonathan is gone. I will now officially cancel my subscription.

Sorry for the delay in posting today's commnets. I've been at an all-day conference on the main campus of Armtrong Atlantic State University in Savannah all day. Just got back at 6:30.

No, I haven't read that release about the fFlorida man yet, but I will.

I have rifled through today's T&G. I, too,was flabbergasted that they now publish anything that Der OberWillie's Minister of Propaganda, Simper Fido, passes on to them with NO ATTRIBUTION.

Calling all professionally trained journalists reading this: What the hell do you make of that?

It seems to me that if the T&G staff writes a news piece on his throwing his soiled hat into the ring, that's news: when Simper Fido authors it, it is a gift of a no-cost political ad to the cndidate from the T&G.

Not only does this probably not pass muster vis-a-vis professional journalistic standards, it may even be illegal under Georgia election law.

Journalists, what say you?

It is sure not helping that Sandy Feller is backing BTW. That old goat is so consumed with the down fall of Steve Berry, that he thinks Tommy is Steve's Boy. I know Tommy, and he is not Steve Berry's Boy. Sandy is so off base with his hate. He has shown on his blog that he is a racist, and and anti-semite. He deleted those posts. Jay if you want to ensure BTW is going down, you have to get your friend Sandy to back off. I wish he would just go back to New York, and piss off people up there.

First things first: RICK! WELCOME BACK< BROTHER!

I'm sure that the nrws that you are back, tanned, rested, and ready for action, has, or soon will, ruin many a Thuggie's day.

Outstanding!

Good letter-to-the-editor, buy the way.

Speaking of the T&G, how do you like the post-Jonathan T&G so far?

Now, as to Sandy Feller: I have no editorial over Sandy and vice-versa.

My guess is that Tommy Grgory will address that head-on, as usual.

No, I don't think that Sandy is a racist, though I too am mystified as to why Rich Gamble should run as a Democrat because barack Obam is doing so well s one.

Given that Sandy was born a Jew, your assertion that he is an anti-Semite is suspect, to put it mildly.

I fully understand his loathing for Berry (remember the gay porn on the website incident, wherein Berry knew damned well Sandy's site had been hacked and sobotaged, but went to the media anyway), but I agree that it has become pathological.

Sandy has been, and remains, a good watchdog. However, I think that his impact on the sheriff's race will be quite minimal.

Typed those last two before my second cup of coffee this morning. Obviously, typos indicate that that's was not a good idea.

In my personal opinion, I think that it's great that Sandy is backing Bill Smith. If his last re-election campaign is any indication, his support will only add to the sheriff's spiraling down fall. Most of Sandy's constituents realize that he has lost touch with what is important and has focused solely on his intense hatred for Barry. As such, Sandy allegiance to Bill Smith is just another proverbial nail in the Smith campaign coffin.
Personally I think he's doing us all a favor.

At one time, Sandy was a good watchdog for the public. It is a shame that his get Berry mentality has reduced his effectiveness to zero.

I would not say zero...

Sandy is, I would say around 75 years young. He continues to shine light into DARK places within the governments of Camden. If his focus right now is Steve Berry and it elevates his serotonin level I say have at it Sandy.

Apparently, Camden has become sort of the "elephants' dying ground" for retired psychiatrists.

Thedre is no shortage of gratuitous diagnoses and prescriptions.

Say, Doc, wouldn't a cheap, generic
SSRI, like Fluoxetine, work just as well as hating Berry?

Austerity cuts to schools in Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Glynn, McIntosh, Pierce and Ware for a total of 3.5 million.

25 million in bonds for infrastructure upgrades on Jekyll Island.

This is what has currently passed the Senate and awaits the Governors approval.

Fluoxetine would work wonderful IF he would agree that indeed he needs it. Without actually taking medication; Steve Berry is his chosen treatment.

Regarding those austerity cuts to school budgets, I vaguely recall seeing that in the GTU.

Rick, do you want to address that on your blog?
