From way deep down inside the belly of the beast...

Turns out I was right about the grand jury presentment originating in the CCSO. The assumption that Simper Fido was editor-in-chief was a no brainer. But now, it turns out that his research assistant - the one who came up with all those figures on how many dollars BTW supposedly saved us with the trusty program - was noneother than that simple file clerk, County Commissioner Charlene "Chuckie" Sears. I'll bet new boat toys are in the Sears' future. And y'all thought all she was doing lately was growing her hair longer and blonder for BTW. Shame on y'all. Now, if we can just find out which grand jury member was the liason with the BTW campaign operatives. Anyone ACTUALLY know?

Were not those figures basically the same crap that Byerly worked up for him and presented when they went in front of the county commission after Crooked River Jet Ski Exhibition?

Didn't that trick rider, Anthony Van Lewis, get a job at Cypress Gardens as a result of the BTW trusty training program?

The Chairman of the Grand Jury, Fred Sutton's wife works at the CCSO. The Secretary of the Grand Jury, Alice Sue Crews, a member of the Woodbine Baptist Church was one of the recipients of a trip to Saddleback. Who knows who else on the Grand Jury is in his back pocket but those two popped out right away.

Well, the sheriff won't be buying them jet skis. They already have the sheriff's jet skis at their house along with a boat.

BOB-BOB

Loved the sarcastic wit with the Cypress Gardens bit.

Looks like those Saddleback bucks are paying dividends above and beyond votes.

Well, shouldn't they have the use of the jet skis and the boat? I mean, afterall, the poor gal is forced to drive her own car as far as the substation on 40 en route to Woodbine.

When and How will this ever end? These people are making a mockery of the judicial process in Camden County. This highlights the fact that undoubtedly BTW has the Clerk of Court in his pocket also. NONE of this (with the grand jury) could have been accomplished without her cooperation.

I guess the adage is true "Money can buy you anything".

How will it end?

Let's look at the possibilities.

1. Smith is indicted, convicted and jailed. Problem solved. Our best hope, by the way.

2. Smith is defeated in the Republican primary by Tommy Gregory. This will only happen if decent Democrats and Independents cross over for the primary (perfectly legal and does not bind you to vote for the Republican in November)and vote for Gregory. If Gregory wins, problem solved. We would then be assured of the election of one of two well qualified candidates in November. This is our second best hope.

3. Smith wins in July, but is defeated by Rich Gamble in November. The chances of that happening are not good.

4. If Smith wins in November, he will run hog wild. Where he currently just wipes his lying ass on federal and state laws and ethics in general, given a mandate by his immoral redneck fans and beneficiaries,he would shred and burn them. He would tell all critics, including anyone left on the county commission who was not in his pocket, to go piss up a rope. Politically motivated arrests would probably jump sharply.

Our only hope then would be that enough people finally became so alrmed as to make a re-call election feasible.

That would not likely stand a snowball's chance in hell of success.

We would all simply be at the mercy of the low down, dirty, lying, cheating bastard for another four years.

Barring indictment, conviction, and well deserved incarceration, our best hope, people - the one that we can effect - is to rid ourselves of the bastard once and for all in the July primary.

I agree Jay, If he gets re-elected the only one we can blame are ourselves. I will move to Florida if he wins. I will no longer allow my family to live in a county that has this level of corruption. Hell if a family member was a victim of a crime, no jury will ever believe what any deputy says on the stand,,,, also Gina Evanson "yea" the girl that used the county credit card was on the grand jury,,, fred sutton is working at fletc and could care less about CCSO anymore,, and yes his wife does work there, but fred is a good man,,,hell must be pretty smart,, he got outta that place,,,
